Absorbing and gripping history of the Cherokee Indian. There is so much to read and take in. I need to go back to focus on the latter part of the tour, since I was getting tired of standing (wearing a walking cast and there were few places to sit in the latter portion of the tour). Was glad I spent the time here learning a bit of the history before attending the drama "Unto These Hills". A highlight of the visit was meeting Johnny Wolfe at the museum box office. He is a delightful Native American WWII veteran and the model for the statue inside the museum.

Ive been three times and enjoy it every time I go. If you come to Cherokee you have to come and see the museum. Great story, art, and setting allow you to immerse yourself into the culture.

We enjoyed this museum as did the children, ages 8 & 9. Lots of history within those walls. The kids enjoyed learning about how the Indians lived many years ago. Lots of artifacts were in the museum. We bought tickets for the museum, the reservation and the outdoor drama. Good deal for all three.

This is an outstanding view of the history of the early native Americans and then a frank view/history of the Cherokee Peoples. Their history struggles and recovery. Well worth the time to slowly walk thought each exhibit

This is a very nice museum that tells the story of the Cherokee people in a chronological order. It is definitely worth a visit when you are in the area. There is a very nice gift shop as well.
