We decided to take a day trip to Harrahs Cherokee Casino and needed a place to stay. WE contacted the Cherokee Grand Hotel in Cherokee, NC and are we glad we did. The place is within walking distance of the casino and the rooms are marvelous. For the price, it was great. Although they have no breakfast of any type, there are places you can get food nearby. If you're going to Harrahs Cherokee Casino or other attractions in the area, this is definitely a nice place to stay.

Room tip: Rooms away from the lobby area on first fllor.

Great room, nice and cozy very quiet, staff was great.. in walking distance to Casino, ya can't go wrong. Very affordable, would definitely stay again. It's tucked right in the mountains ya can't beat that.

I would not consider this a hotel, more like a motel. The room was okay. The king size bed is very spacious and comfy which is a plus. The bathroom could benefit from a makeover. The room had no visible issues and under thorough inspection appeared reasonably clean. The hotel does not serve breakfast, and snack machines are on the 2nd floor (note:there is no A/C running in the hallways) which consisted of about 3 drink machines and a snack machine about half full. The hotel was considerably quiet so there were no issues getting to sleep. Overall, this is a decent hotel to stay if you want to explore the area and do some gambling. Just note, the last shuttle pick up is 12am on weekends, but the driver said ubers weren't hard to get and walking is also an option as it isn't far from the Casino.

The hotel is unkempt and room cleaning service is at lazy no one is in charge' They have no shuttle most days as advertised. They have some of the most ridiculous check in policy's I have ever encountered! If I had not prepaid on booking.com I would have not stayed at this location and would recommend other to be wary!!

Room tip: Stay at other hotels in the area

This hotel use to be a nice place to stay. They no longer have breakfast. Only one chair in the room that was worn out and broken. The shower was full of mildew. It's close to the casino is probably the only good thing.
