Stayed at the Hilton the last week in October. Everything was fine. The only complaint is that the room was a little small and the walls were thin. Other than that it was overall a good experience.

Great stay at the Hilton! Wished that I would have spent some more time there. I was there for one night to attend a conference. It is only a quick cab ride from the airport to the hotel.

Check in was great. The front desk staff was very accommodating. I left my cell phone in the back of my cab and they helped me get it back. They were very friendly. They told me that they would handle it and they did!

The business center is nice. The only problem is that it is a little hard to find. But, once you get there, it is wonderful. Lots of computers. They even have a fax for you to send faxes out and a copy machine.

The room was fantastic. Huge plasma tv. The bathroom was phenomenal. All new fixtures! The bed was very comfortable with great linens. I am a jittery business traveler and this room put me at ease. Room service for dinner and breakfast was very good.

There are a lot of cabs in front of the hotel. I would try to get car service instead. The reason is that they will often try to beat the price of the cabs.

Will definitely visit there again!

Most horrible experience we ever had. In town for a cheerleading event, chose this site because it is very close to the convention center. Not kid freindly, no onsite indoor pools, only one kid tv channel. Staff was not freindly. Made us feel very unwanted. Food was terrible and overpriced. Not close to any kid freindly restuarants or mini- store. Rooms were very clean and comfortable, the whole property site was quite breathtaking. Nothing was included in room price, all amenities had extra charges. We will never stay in this hotel chain again. My advice if you have kids stay somewhere else. Couples without kids would probably enjoy this hotel.

Stayed atthe Hilton Charlotte Center City while attending a convention at the convention center. Great location - convention center short walk across the street. Rooms recently updated with flat screen tv, very comfortable bed and huge shower. Main complaint was lack of restaurants in hotel. But - a few restaurants within walking distance. Ony one restaurant on lower level. Walkway connected hotel to other buildings where there were small coffee shop type eateries. Bar in hotel extremely expensive - $30 for 2 drinks! In-room internet service extremely slow. For $9.95/day, I would expect a higher speed connection. Could not get good cell phone reception in hotel (I have Cingular and service was almost non-existent inside - no problem outside or in convention center). Booked through convention web site and paid $169/night. All in all, good hotel if you are attending convention

Booked two hospitality suites through a convention housing bureau. I had spoken to the events manager at the Hilton several times to discuss how the furniture should be set up in the suites. She had even faxed me a floor plan showing the setup - couch, armchairs, cofffee table, end tables, etc. When we arrived at the hotel, the suite had one couch in it - the other also had a couch with a broken arm. No one could tell me WHY the suite was not set up properly, nor could they resolve the problem adequately.

The hotel's GM told me that they had recently ordered new furniture for the suite, but it had not yet arrived. He could not explain WHY the so-called hospitailty suite only had one couch and no other furniture.

Altogether a very unpleasant and unprofessional experience.

Check-In at the hilton was a breeze. I arrived about 8pm and it only took about five minutes, if that. The clerk was very professional and friendly. The lobby was nice and impressive. My room was on the 12th floor. Upon inspection the room was very clean. The room had a king sized bed that was to-die-for comfortable, nice large desk, coffee pot (with tea too), and comfortable chairs. The furnishings were stylish and tasteful. The view out the window wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't bad either. They offered room service with food at reasonable prices, considering. I loved the large flat screen tv on the wall opposite the bed. The internet was available on the tv for a fee-good since I didn't bring my notebook. It was quite slow, though. So, I don't reccommend using it. The bathroom was nice with the glassed in shower (no tub) and the ultra-modern faucet. Lots of hot water for a good long shower. The room was nice and quiet all night(I don't know if there was anyone staying in the rooms next to mine) so I slept soundly. Check-out was even easier, they put a receipt under my door and to check-out all I had to do was punch a number on the phone in the room and give simple info and it was done! I will definitely be staying at the Hilton again!

My first experience booking with Hotwire and at first I felt deceived, which is still somewhat true.
The hotel is going under renovations and when we first entered the room it was outstanding, but no water. The management was very accomodating to switch to another room and yet another, and finally we were settled to a wonderful staff and stay.
We were even compensated to complimentary parking.
Hotwire fails to mention that their is a parking fee, plus a fee to use the health club facilities which is connected with the YMCA.
Overall, I recommend it highly!
The best feature of the room are the beds which comes with a down comforter. These were updated.
Located smack in the middle of downtown, walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and attractions. Great time!
