We took my 9 year old and 11 year old nieces to the King Arthur room and they had a ball! We solved the room and they were a huge part of the process. Well themed. Great puzzles. And a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. Even my 4 month old liked it!
Thank you for bringing your family to do our Kings Quest room! This is a great room for younger kids to be introduced to escape rooms. It is 45 minutes, and the kids can really get involved. There are lots of clues to find and puzzles to solve. If you need help, you can also ask the game master. Please come visit us again soon!

Wonderful hospitality provided by Escape Kings for our twins 11th bday party. The entire group of boys and their Dads enjoyed themselves immensely. The owners are hands on and really down to earth. Would recommend to everyone.
Thank you for having your sons' birthday party at Escape Kings! Our video gaming parties are a lot of fun for gamers of all ages. We have big screens, and plenty of controllers for up to 16 people to play. We also do gaming by the hour, if you don't need a whole party.

We visited on a Saturday morning and we were very pleased with our escape room experience at Escape Kings. My husband and I and our 8 year old son completed the Kings Quest room. It was just hard enough to keep us on our toes, but we were still able to complete it. My son loved it because he was able to complete some of the clues and really participate. We would definitely recommend Escape Kings.
We are so glad your family had a great time at Escape Kings! Kings Quest is a great room to introduce kids to escape rooms. It is only 45 minutes, and has lots of items for the kids to explore. It is still challenging, but the game master can help, if needed. Please come visit us again soon!

Our entire family had an awesome time working with each other, solving, laughing and escaping! We especially loved the replay of the Aztec Ruins escape room and seeing how everyone had fun in the room!
It was a great break from the rain last week and my family enjoyed time together solving all the clues. We also found out our middle school kid really does know their Aztec and Mayan history. Thank you

I booked Escape Kings for my son's 8th birthday party. I am allowing a single star because my son had fun. However, I do not recommend this place for a children's birthday party. First, I selected this escape room because reviews (and the owner/employee with whom I spoke when I booked) indicated that King Arthur's Quest was appropriate for children my son's age. The actual room was appropriate; however, the party facilities are not well-equipped for a party.
When booking, we were told that we could bring outside food and drink for a birthday party. However, there is no separate room for eating. The owner set us up in a room filled with expensive gaming equipment that was set up for an evening Fortnite tournament. (We know how expensive because the owner kept reminding us how much he paid for the equipment during our party.) Instead of putting the equipment away, the computers were left activated, on the same tables on which we were to eat, and, without any sign or warning that the games were off limits. Of course, kids were attracted to the set-up and began to play. I would recommend putting the expensive equipment away, not allowing food in the room, or having a separate location for eating.
Additionally, when we arrived, the owner (Nate?) rudely indicated that we were late for our 2:30 party. We were not, in fact, late as we booked at 2:45 pm. Our party assistant (who was very nice) corrected his boss and tried to make up for the poor greeting we received from the owner - that is actually how he introduced himself as "The Owner!" However, his poor customer service made it such that I would not encourage others to book at this escape room. Escape Tactic is run far more professionally and with an interest in good customer service.
If you are interested in a children's birthday party, look elsewhere. I was not impressed with the party facilities or the service we received.
Well, we do not know what to say except the following in response for the general public to understand our side of this review:
- The mom, Erin, had booked this for 6 kids, 2 adults. Perfect, that is great! A good time ahead! However, 12 MORE adults show up in the party space with bringing a ton of food.
- A few guest’s kids did arrive late causing the escape room to not start until after 3:15 for a 2:45 show. Nate did ask where everyone was at 2:30 to Erin and he was direct. But our staff including Nate did our best to calm down the situation and make sure the kids still got their full 45-minute escape room when the clocked ticked past 3:00 with people still not there. It was not the kids fault after all, they cannot drive yet and kids are supposed to be whole reason for the party. For every party, we send reminders and we are clear to arrive 15 minutes before the escape room so everything goes smoothly and on time.
- We did ask to not use the gaming PC's right up front from Nate and he did apologize multiple times to Erin since she was put off with his directness in asking that kids do not get into the gaming until we get them setup and to not get food on the equipment. At that time, we did not know even more adults would be piling in else we would have removed everything from the room except 4 tables for food.
- We had them setup to use Nintendo’s and had the keyboards, mice and gaming pads put away from the food already. However, we could not get the kids off the PC gaming when they got dragged back out and literally had no help from parents. So, we just gave up trying for awhile until the parents finally did help make sure the mice & keyboards did not get dragged out again to keep food from getting over everything. Yes, it is an expensive setup and we never had this issue, EVER!
- At the end of the party, one adult guest wanted to make sure that we know that Erin Young works for a law firm in Charlotte, Hall Booth Smith. We try our best everyday regardless if they are a lawyer or not. We did our best to help in the situation and kids did have a blast. We were really put off that they throw out a lawyer card on us at the end of the party, man, we are literally bending over backwards already at this point and letting them just do whatever they want.
- Yes, we were upset since the adults took over a kids birthday party space and it was setup for 2 adults total. Yes, we did our best too to make sure the kids had a blast. The kids had a blast.
- For what it is worth, we gave each kid party favors and made sure they had fun despite all the shenanigans going on with all the extra people piling in party space, people arriving late and kids running a bit wild for a bit. We tried our best still and helped as much as possible for the kids to have fun.
All this to say, we are a family owned business with our kids and families too. The reviewer can say what they want but this is our feedback. The kids had a blast and the kids loved the experience with asking our staff when they can do it again. Escape Tactic is a fine business and we do send people there everyday who ask for things close to the breweries and for fun escape rooms too.
We do have awesome parties and well, when people do work with us, we will work with them. In our 4 years open, we have never had such a party like this one and hope we never do again like this one where we have the adults crash a kid’s party. All our staff know what happened that day too & we applaud them for trying best to help.
We went as a family of 7, 2 tweens, a young teen, parents, and grands, and all had a great time! There is lots to explore and figure out and we escaped with only 5 minutes remaining. The incentive of a possibility of winning an X-Box made it even more challenging. We will definitely go back and try a different room!
Thank you for visiting Escape Kings with your family! Aztec Ruins is a great room for all ages, and everyone can participate.
Congratulations on your escape! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
