“Almost a classic brasserie”
Reviewed December 27, 2012

At Georges Brasserie we have the French flavor, good food, but not really the authentic fresh cuisine. Anyway, good food.
The service is slow and we need to manage our patience.
Reasonable prices and limited wine list. I assume that they will improve to survive in the long run.

“Escargot, I'll come again.”
Reviewed December 14, 2012

What a nice place for a date! We went here some time ago so I don't remember exact dishes but apps and entrees were very tasty. Staff was friendly! It was pouring outside when they closed. They let us hang out in the bar lounge for a bit with our drinks and then took us out through the back.
I give George's an excellent score because food and staff were great.

“great”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

I eat here whenever i go to Charlotte. It is a bit pricey, but the service and food are great. The steak was wonderful as was the salmon. Do not try the gumbo; it doesn't begin to taste like gumbo

“One of Charlotte's best happy hour”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Incredible food at very low prices! The mussels and the Brussel sprouts are to die for. Great menu for sharing. Drink specials all week (wine & Martini's included) this is becoming a go to spot for happy hour during the week.

“Amazing mussels, etc”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

We had a wonderful dinner at George's last night. We started at the bar with calamari and wine at happy hour and stayed for dinner. We each had a nice big caesar salad loaded with anchovies (optional). The birthday girl had white wine mussels - a huge portion, and in a broth so good she drank it with a soup spoon. I had the scallops - fantastic! George's is a great place for either a special dinner or just a casual night out with excellent food.
