Have been going to Eddie's fro several years trying out thier delicious breakfasts ( A bit on the high side but excellent quality) as well as thier lunch / dinner food. Nice neighborhood feel casual place with great hamburgers/ chickenburgers and fantastic fries. Thier "she" crab soup is to die for and is considered one of the best in the city ( a soup that one typically only found in the Carolinas and the virginia coast). The reciepe has been handed down for a few generations and is a rich flavored crab cream based soup, They also have a value based Tuesday special of Prime Rib with real mashed potatos and green beans as sides. The beef plate cost $6 dollars fro a six ounch piece and one dollar extra for each ounce you want them to add to your custom cut prime rib. The prime is served to your requested temperature and they typically run out on Tuesdays by 8pm or so. They also have a great assortment of reasonably priced domestics and locally brewed craft beers to wash down your food with.

This is my favorite post run grub spot when I am in Charlotte. The food is always great and they always have something unique on special. It can get crowded due to its popularity and it can be difficult to get a table for large parties/families. it can be a bit pricey for breakfast, but you are paying for what I consider better quality ingredients.

If you are in Charlotte, eat here. Best she-crab soup in this area. Seafood is top notch here. Specials every day are wonderful. Atmosphere is outstanding. People of all walks of life may come through the door. It's packed all the time. Breakfast is served all hours and it's killer. It's a great bar to just hang out and watch sports and sling one or two back!! Prices are very reasonable for the quality. My weekly lunch bunch ranks this one at the top of our list. It's been written up as the Best of Charlotte many times. A GREAT joint.

We first went to Eddie's years ago when our son lived in Ballentyne. We have been to the low country many times and loved the she crab soup they serve there. Eddie's is just as good, if not better than that in the low country. We actually went there in Oct of 2011 just to get a couple of quarts of the soup to bring home with us. It is wonderful. Service was good when we did eat in, and our take-out experience was good also. If you love she crab soup, this is the place to go!

Our neighborhood go-to restaurant! We love this cozy place for breakfast (served all day), lunch (shrimp or oyster po'boys!), or dinner (shrimp & grits). Very casual New Orleans atmosphere with great service. The best thing on the menu is the homemade she-crab soup, served with ciabatta bread - yum! Like the pubs we always enjoyed in England!
