We visited the Fig tree for the first time for my wife's birthday. They sat us in a small room upstairs with 3 other tables. It was cozy and quiet. Our waiter was very attentive and always standing by fill our water glasses, refill our wine glasses, brought more bread, or take our dishes away yet not close enough to feel like he was hovering. My wife ordered the Elk Chop, first time trying this dish, and she thought it was almost better than beef. I had the veal chop and was not disappointed in the flavor and the proper cooking temperature that I had asked for. The dessert dishes came out with an extra flair and fancy design and not just a piece of cake put on a plate. Overall we found the setting, the meal and the staff all come together for a very enjoyable evening. I will admit the entire meal including wine was very pricey and although we enjoyed the evening it was not a place to frequent often other than a special occasion. Average meat dish was in the mid $30 price range and our entire bill including tip was over $200. We will still go back.
