The whitewater center is a great place to obviously go rafting or kayaking, but it is also great for biking, jogging, zip-lining, rock-climbing, etc. But it is also a great spot to have a beer and listen to live music and enjoy great food. It is a little off the beaten path from Charlotte, but absolutely worth a visit.

We've been here a couple times with friends and family. They have multiple pricing options, so if you're not up for spending the large price to get the full package, you can still come in and experience one of the activities to get a taste. However, I recommend forking up the cash for the top level package, if you have the day to spend here. They have multiple zip lining options and a ropes course, which are all fun, and then of course the main event - whitewater rafting. We've only done the rafting once, but it was well worth it, quite a thrill! This is an exciting day out for adults and older children (there's really not much a young child could do though). We've eaten at the restaurant every time we've come, which has decent food and overlooks the whitewater course.

Had friends visiting from other coast and wanted to take a photo at the entrance and leave ( total on one minute ) the gate agent would not let us in with out paying for parking. We turned around. Won't be back!

The WWC is a great place for afternoon fun! Whether looking to hike and enjoy the scenery or take part in many of their outdoor activities, there is something for everyone! The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining how the center works. They are very dog friendly as well; my puppy loves going out there with me and riding in the kayak or on the paddleboard. :)

If you live here, a season pass is the best deal. Otherwise, it can be a little expensive, but worth it! There is no fee to get in and walk around or to use the hiking/biking trails, but there is a fee if you do any of the other activities. Parking is easy, and they often have live music on the weekends too. Overall, a fun place and worth going!!

Went with the family in the winter so the water part was closed. We went with
that expectation. We specifically booked their canopy guided tour. Quite pricey
but a fun experience. As a family we experienced other places with a more
advanced system at half the price. Either way exposure to the facility was
great. The staff were terrific. They did not open he tour until noon but they accommodated me for 10:00am. Everyone along the way especially the tour staff were great. I recommend the
place but keep an eye on your wallet. We were the first people in the park so of course there were no lines. If this was a peak time our experience might have been different. Great fun great outdoor activities. Will definitely be back to experience the whitewater rafting and the mountain biking.
