“A nice place to grab a bite.”
Reviewed August 12, 2012 via mobile

Settled in a nice place in Charlotte's suburbs, I had a nice, tasty and yet healthy sandwich here. They have a nice terrace and a wide variety of pastry.

“Worth the few extra pennies”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

My hubby & I have eaten here in all seasons & never been dissatisfied w/the selections, food or service. The salads can be customize designed & they offer a great selection of vegan plus standard protein additions: chix, beef, shrimp, salmon. the salads are generously sized. You can also have them build a sandwich, again, not a skimpy serving. Soups are next to the deli section, usually 3 different kinds are available. I've had the creamy tomato bisque, chix noodle, veggie, chili, split pea & corn chowder in the fall/winter, all yummy. You can get an entree also at the deli, as well as buying diffent types of cooked items (shrimp, salmon, chix, pork) & all types of sides such as grilled veggies, potato, cole slaw or mac salad, couscous, rice pilaf, tomato/feta salad, lots to choose from. Folks "pick n choose" bits of take out deli, soup, salad, sandwiches, then grab a drink & eat inside/outside @ small tables. The coffee selections are well done & the desserts 1st rate, if u have the room. Wander around the store a bit to see all the gourmet cheeses, butcher items, breads & gourmet food items. A nice change for a casual, relaxing gourmet deli meal, weekend or weekday!

“Lunch or shop. Both are great.”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Browse the aisles a bit, then settle down for a nice lunch, or pick up some take-out. Coffee and donuts are good, too.
If you're an afficionado of Spanish canned seafood, or treats from the British Isles, then this is a good place to stop.

“Less Snobbery than Usual”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

Noticed a much welcomed and needed shift in the D&D vibe, less snobbery and more welcoming. The hubby and I shared a BLT, which was delicious.
