I walk by here every day and occassionally go inside to see some to the clothing specials they have as there is a nice little Wells Fargo store in there, but in terms of a museum....not so much. Yes there is some very cool old stuff in there, but it has to be combined with visiting other museums in the area to make even a partial day out of it. If you are in the area for work it might be worth a lunch time visit.

Lots of little fun things while providing some interesting history. Not at all commercial. Can get money with your face on it. Get a picture behind an old time teller window. Picture in the famous stage coach.

This museum uses technology of today to describe how Wells Fargo started. This museum incorporate technology for hands on activities to share history of Wells Fargo transporation. One has an opportunity to take a group picture in front of a stagecoach and sends it to your email &/or provides a hard copy on the spot.

Years of watching cowboy films have built an infinity with the British and a love of Wells Fargo, every film seemed to have someone racing across the USA to deliver Gold, Mail or a Sweetheart to cowboy who had not had a bath in the last decade!!

For years (previous to my many visits to Charlotte) I had thought of Wells Fargo as the fore runner to the U.S. Mail, never did I realise that they were in fact one of the USA's largest and most succesful Banks.

The museum is in the Wells Fargo Centre at the lower end of Tryone Street (Out of the information centre, turn right, cross the road and walk around 50 yds and your there)

The Museum is new, imaginative, very hands on, spotlessly clean and totally worth an hour of your holiday or spare time, loving the history of Wells Fargo just adds to the experience. The coach they have on show brings back so many memories, the following walk through history is both hands on and very enlightening as to what these intrepid travellers went through to reach California from the East Coast, there are a number of items on show from bank tellers to clothing.

The photo opportunities for you print and take home with you add a very nice touch to this excellent yet tiny museum.

A must do if you are in the City and have a spare hour, and the big bonus is its absolutely FREE!
