There are a number of Irish pub bars close by, and the well-known Town Tavern is next door, but this is worth visiting. During the weekdays it gets very crowded after 5 p.m. with bank employees, but most seem to enjoy themselves. Certainly the food is well above average for pub fare, and the fish and chips are top rate. They are not overly battered and cooked with too much oil, and they use haddock rather than some filler fish, so the taste is clearly present. Our servers were attentive but not intrusive and beer, wine and food service was prompt. The decor is unique and attractive. Good selection of Irish beers.
