Did not come here much for some years, then was in Gastonia recently and the wait time at the Ruby Tuesday was beyond accpetable. So popped next-door and got a very pleasant surprise. The cuisine is not haute, but the staff is very dedicated to ensuring all your needs are met - AND it seems genuine. Am a good judge of character and this place has a lot of it! Nice enough layout - one thing that makes it loud is the tiled floor (or was that lino made to look like tile?) Anyway.... see for yourself. I went a couple of times ages ago to the one on Independence Boulevard which I believe had an food poisoining incident and has since shut down (don't quote me on that ;-)) - if you've been snubbing this place for it's reputation in the 90s, it is definitely worth another try. Speaking for the one in Gastonia that is. Depends on what their franchise concept is (degre of independence of the manager can make or break different restaurants in the same chain - but too tight a 'corporate grip' can also make things too "cookie-cutter".
OK, I'll shut up now. Buon apetito!
