“Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name ...”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

I can't believe that I've never reviewed Red Rocks Cafe because it's been my favorite Charlotte restaurant since I found it 13 years ago. The food is always top notch! The seafood is fresh and prepared in several different ways. All of the sandwiches are great, but my go-to is the crab cake sandwich. The Reuben is great and so are the burgers. My family loves their pasta dishes, with the Eugene Robinson's Shrimp and Scallops Fresco being one of the top favorites. The salads are delicious as well. It's hard to choose a side dish but you can't go wrong with the Parmesan Potato Cakes. You will pass the dessert counter as you walk in. Save room for chocolate cake! The staff is very accommodating so if you have special requests they will do their best to honor your wishes for substitutions. One of the best things about Red Rocks though, is the community atmosphere. There are many regulars and the wait staff remember you (don't worry - they're friendly to first timers, too!). The newest outdoor seating area is a great addition. The other smaller patio filled up fast. If you're in Charlotte for the DNC or any other reason, hop in to Red Rocks! Just be sure to save a seat for me!

“Best Chefs anywhere”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

This restaurant was recommended to us and they lived up to everything they were said to be. My wife has food allergies which limit her ability to eat some foods. This restaurant's chefs were willing to adjust the recipe heavily in order to allow her to have just about anything we asked about. Many restaurants we have been to just say "no we can't do that" or "maybe you should choose something else." I am happy to recommend this restaurant and will most certainly eat here again. Food is very reasonable for the quality you receive. The desserts are great, although a little pricey by the slice.

“Year in and year out, excellent”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Classy joint, always packed. Food is great, not cheap, but worth every penny. Atmosphere is quite nice. Not a bluejeans joint. Dress up a little. It's a neighborhood favorite. Good for groups, as it has a meeting room. Long time favorite of ours.

“Mother's Day Brunch”
Reviewed May 14, 2012

For years, my family has had a tradition of having Mother's Day brunch at Red Rock Cafe. It is a buffet, but very well done with a nice assortment of things to choose from. We enjoy sitting on the patio as the inside seemed to be too chilly. We also enjoy their dinner menu, but I look forward to this traditional brunch each year.

“Amazing variety and great steaks!”
Reviewed April 3, 2012

One of the best values and better steaks than the BIG steak houses! Fresh seafood and creative menu while not being stuffy.
