We recently chose Toscana to celebrate our Daughter's birthday. We made the reservation and got our table on time, however the table was not ready. The table was then made ready without much respect to the guests. Couple of tables was exceptionally loud which was in contrast to rest of the tables. Wine selection was good however the Appetizer and food selection were limited. We ordered couple of appetizers and they tasted very ordinary. The bread given after we settled down was very ordinary and very hard to digest. The service was prompt. For main course we order different types of pastas and they were tasted ordinary and one of the pasta was half cooked. On complain they offered to replace the pasta, but we refused as it spoiled our mood for the dinner. However at end they did not remove this pasta from the bill. The dessert story was the same. We ordered few desserts and they tasted far more ordinary. Although we are not great judge of Italian food, but certainly we have eaten enough Italian food to feel the difference. I would not recommend anyone this restaurant. We felt it’s certainly overrated.

Went here Thursday night with a group of 12. We were seated near the front door, not a problem, however the table was much too small for this group of people (12). The restaurant is small so I understand they need to fit all the people they can into the space. Due to the size it appeared to be very noisy. Several in my group mentioned it and with a group this big, we too were probably a little noisy ourselves.
The menu is very good with many seafood dishes. I was cheap and had the Lasagna, TOOOO HOT. It took me 10 minutes before I could handle a small forkful. The quality was like a frozen dish that I could cook at home, $16.95. Not much flavor. My wife ordered the pasta tubes with sausage and it was very good and tasty. Once again, overpriced @ $16.95. The service was excellent and we could not have asked for better. There are plenty of servers and bus boys. The 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill.
Overall, I would probably not return to this restaurant due to the flavor and pricing.

Toscana has been in Charlotte since 1998 and has always been a place to go for a top notch dining experience. The food is excellent and is served with style. Patio dining is available and recommended in appropriate weather. Located in Shops on The Park it is suitable for weekday lunches and always for evening dining. The service staff is outstanding. If you enjoy excellent food and/or need a special place to take someone for a special occasion, Toscana would be a great choice.

We first discovered Toscana 10 years ago when we stopped over in South Park on our way to South Carolina and it has has become an annual stop since then.
The service is excellent, the wine list and food have been consistently good.
We always look forward to our dinner and always book before leaving Toronto.
