"Upscale homestyle" is our style, and we love to bring it to you, again and again. “A Fanastic Italian Experience”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

It was a fine rainy night and i decided to land up on this eatery based on a friends recommendations. The ambiance was really great and they also had a fire pot setup with tables around separately . Decided to get into the room with Italian soap opera playing. I really felt like i am in Italian . Then ordered the soup and the main course. Not too much wait , it came as fast as it can . Meanwhile you can enjoy their complementary bread which were real soft and good .
The food came was extremely hot , so one going kids take care that they don't pounce of the food.
Trust me it was extremely hot and i have to spit out my food to avoid hot burns inside my mouth.
other than this , experience was good. Then entry to the hotel is not the side where the name display , you need move around to the left of the display to enter. i would visit again and enjoy some pizza's.

“Good place for good Italian food - -”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Been here surely over a dozen times of the years and have had only good dining experiences. If you want a fun night out with some good Italian food, try this place. They have a pollo con carciofi (chicken with artichoke) dish that is really good - it actually made me like olives, which I often don't when they are too overpowering.

Regular pasta dishes are good and not overseasoned (some Italian places try too hard with the oregano and basil).... Fun place for a big group, but book ahead if you're more than 6 or 8. They have some wait time that speak for the popularity of the place.

“A Little bit of Italy in the Queen City”
Reviewed February 17, 2013

The best Italian restaurant in the Queen City. Mama's isn't a "commercial" spot. It's nestled in a perfect spot near Trader Joe's uptown. The food is fresh and made with tender care. Brick oven pizza is the best as well as traditional fare.

“A favorite for Italian!”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Great place. I often go for lunch as it is located just on the edge of downtown. Great food that can be pricey but is well worth it. High level of services always! Every day has a special pasta dish and calzones. Some special soups and sandwiches. Never had anything at this restaurant that was not fresh and delicious. I am a regular here and I love the food. Most recent visit was a Valentine's day lunch with my wife. We had a great time.

“Wonderful Birthday dinner”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

This was the first visit for my husband and me to Mama Ricotta's. This was for a birthday celebration and our party included two other individuals. Our visit was on a Friday evening. It was crowded, but we were seated almost immediately. The staff was friendly and courteous. The food was excellent... bread with olive oil & vinegar, calamari, lasagna and the spaghetti special with lobster. All of these were wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and prices are very reasonable.
