“Great show from the pavilion area. ”
Reviewed November 2, 2013 via mobile

We did the mega ticket this summer and really enjoyed some great shows. It's worth the upgrade to the pavilion if offered. Lawn seats lose most of the great sound. They need more bathrooms in the parking lot and inside. Food and drink are way over priced.

“Great venue for a concert...but concessions are a rip-off---LiveNation is the worst!!!!”
Reviewed October 23, 2013

Went there for a 311 show.....great seats, lighting, sound....location is great...right near hotels and UNC...easy to get in and out.......Concession prices were an absolute rip-off....24 ounce cans of beer for 13 dollars and up.....5 dollar hot dogs....6 dollar bags of peanuts.....5 dollar pops...the list goes on and on......and the worst was I payed for a seat...and they were upgrading $17 lawn seats for free....saving people $25 over what I payed for my seat...and they wouldn't give me anything...LiveNation is a corporate rip-off of the worst kind...I will never have anything to do with them again!!!!!

“Really bad sound!”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

Just saw Zac Brown band on Oct 11, 2013. We had 3rd row center seats, about 10 feet from the front of the stage. One would think the sound would be great. NOT SO !!!!! We know most of the songs they sang, and even knowing the songs you could not understand the words. It sounded like listening to a very bad and very loud radio. Love the band, hate the venue. We go to a lot of concerts; Alan Jackson at the Hollywood bowl, Rod Stewart in Devore, CA., and many more, here and abroad. The sound has always been great. Not in Charlotte!!!!!!! Don't know if it is the fault of the venue or the band. I just know we won't be seeing anyone else at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Charlotte.

“Zac Brown Concert 10-11-2013”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

Went to see Zac Brown . Traffic was terrible ,took 50 min to get to Amphithea which was only 3 miles away from concert,Walked 15 minutes to get from parking spot to front gate. Get into concert and they were charging 4 bucks for a bottle of water,11 bucks for a beer and god help you if you want a tee shirt, you will be shelling out 35 bucks of your hard earned money...... man what a rip off, I will have to say it was a great concert that Zac Brown put on... even tho we spent 68 bucks for seats that you had to watch the video screen to see the band up close.Moneys to hard to come by for bands and promoters to gouge there fans.............. that will be my last trip to the amphithea.....

“Great venue for a concert”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

great tailgating areas outside, nice food and drink facilities down near the stage + an upscale VIP area, leave the kids to the lawn and pony up for the amphitheater seats if you're over 30. Traffic can be a pain so plan to arrive early.
