Bottom line: Good food, good service, reasonable prices. We stopped in Charlotte to do some research at the main library. Coming out of the parking garage in the Hearst Building across the street from the library, we happened to run into the chef for the Blue Restaurant (which was not open for lunch), who recommended Queen City Q, among a few others within walking distance. Very nice inside, but we chose to sit outside. Much more room inside, but as we didn't spend more than a few minutes there, can't really comment on that, other than it seemed to have a pleasant atmosphere. We both had a salad with barbecue piled on top, along with a local beer. As I said at the top, good food for a reasonable price.
