Bottom line: Good food, good service, reasonable prices. We stopped in Charlotte to do some research at the main library. Coming out of the parking garage in the Hearst Building across the street from the library, we happened to run into the chef for the Blue Restaurant (which was not open for lunch), who recommended Queen City Q, among a few others within walking distance. Very nice inside, but we chose to sit outside. Much more room inside, but as we didn't spend more than a few minutes there, can't really comment on that, other than it seemed to have a pleasant atmosphere. We both had a salad with barbecue piled on top, along with a local beer. As I said at the top, good food for a reasonable price.

This is the best brisket I've tasted since I left Texas years ago. I've tried many variations of brisket but this is the one that reminds me of Texas -- the home of brisket! Mac-n-Cheese along with baked beans are great sides. They even throw in some texas toast completing the perfect meal. Service is really fast and they have a great selection of beer available. Be sure to check this place out when visiting Charlotte.

My family went to the Queen City Q restaurant for Father's Day yesterday on a recommendation of my youngest daughter's chef. This was the best BBQ and food. The brisket, ribs, and pulled pork was the most tender, delicious pork I have ever had. Been to many states that are know for their BBQ, but Queen City Q is outstanding. A bigger surprize was that the father's meal was taken care of by them as a gift to Father's for Father's Day. What a great place, service, and wonderful food. Thanks for a very special Father's Day Meal for my family!
