Carowinds offers so much for many age groups. All the rides are fun and the food is great. The weather can be hot in the Carolinas so use precautions when visiting. Plan to stay all day with the family. Water rides are available to cool off.

The wife and I decided to go to Scarowinds on the 27th. I haven't been to Carowinds in probably more than a decade and haven't ridin a roller coaster in probably just as long. The place was so much fun. Monsters running all over the place, people screaming murder left and right. Great time. The ride lines weren't as bad as I thought. There were moments were you would be like "ummm that lines to long forget it." But there were like 6 mini haunted houses to walk through to pass the time by until the lines died down. Definitly had fun though! Planning another trip next year when it gets warmer and all the rides are open.

Bought gold season passes this year for the 1st time and we really got our money's worth! Lots to do for all ages. Only downfall is the prices of food but, that's how it is anywhere you go.

I surprised my boyfriend by taking him to opening day at Carowinds this year. He had never been and had expressed an interest in it. We are both in our 30s. It was not crowded thanks to rain earlier in the AM. We opted for the express passes which allowed us to go to the front of the line on the "big" rides. The food choices leave something to be desired but its an amusement park so I didn't expect much in that area.
