This is the best setup I've ever seen. It's a concert hall (smallish) next to a few restaurants, an outdoor bar, a couple indoor bars, a GREAT comedy club - it's just a place to find something cool every weekend.
I'm always amazed how many big names perform here. Kevin Pollack's comedy show was the single funniest I've ever seen and I've been to a lot. The same 400 seat, subterranean club hosts unbelievable headliners: Amy Schumer, Tom Arnold, Jimmy Norton, Jay Mohr, Mick Foley, Judah Friedlander, Bobby Collins, etc, etc. It's cheap, too.
The other shows are impressive as well. Kevin Smith did a 4 hour SmodCast here last month. When's the last time you spent $5 a person to see a comedy headliner, ordered a $2 Coke and walk out and around the place with it and encountered Soul Asylum jamming outside by the bar to a couple hundred fans?
Also, valet parking, good food on site and nearby (the diner right on that street is great), safe and clean. Of course, they're Southern friendly!

Going to a show here is awesome. It's not too big so it feels like you're just hanging out with your favorite artist. Very pretty inside - don't have to wait long for the bar

Its a great venue..see alot of bad things said which aren't thought out. Yes a tall boy beer costs 9.00. That breaks down to 4.25 for a 12oz beer. I see the reason behind that. Its so you can actually enjoy the show and not have to go back every twenty minutes for another beer and miss key points of the show. I honestly hate going back and forth. Basically your double fisted in one hand for 9 bucks. Also so another comment on Merch..the venue has nothing to do with merch prices...thats the only way some of these bands survive anymore is from merch. Since so many steal music online. So if you like to support bands you love then make a purchase and keep them around a little longer. Not every band has the longevity of Rolling Stones. Hate them y the way. I love the Fillmore and love the original Fillmore. And don't mind paying. And by no means am I rich. I just love music in a great spot. Yes prices maybe cheap in a little place like Amos but its no comparision. Go to any big venue in U.S. and you'll be served the same prices if not more. But if you really love music and want these bands to keep coming then just shut up and pay and stop stealing music. Bands dont tour for free and someone has to pay them. I just paid 100 bucks to see NIN. Sucked at the time but its totally worth it. Enjoi

I have been to numerous shows at the Fillmore. It is a great little spot for a live show but try not to get thirsty bc the drinks are WAY overpriced. There is basically no seating in this place also. It is in a decent location in the uptown area with plenty of free parking right across the street.

One of our party was in a wheel chair and the personnel at the Filmore were awesome. Helping us get the wheel chair in an area where she could see. Concert was outstanding. The Filmore does it right.
