“Great CLT Layover Spot”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

I get to CLT about 2x / month as a business traveler. AND always stop at this main terminal restaurant. Sushi is great and the service is fast. There is usually a place to take a seat, which is nice (bar, table, or high table). I always get a beer or two. Get the big one for an extra $1.50 - it's worth it. Long story short, great spot for a quick bite - and if you have to spend a bit more time, it works well. because they don't rush you. There are nice 'flying' models over head - but sort of boring. Order the Orville and Wilbur Sushi Roll - Sounds odd, but a great entree'.

“Tasty sushi and great service at the airport.”
Reviewed July 5, 2012

I connect at CLT at least once a month, and I always eat at First in Flight. The sushi isn't gourmet-quality, but it's very tasty and reasonably priced. The service is always wonderful, and they can usually get a solo traveller in and out in 30 minutes or less. The restaurant is located in the airy main terminal, across from big sunny windows. Best of all, if I eat here, I never feel awful and heavy for the rest of the day, the way I would if I ate greasy airport pizza or fast food. Recommended!!

“Sushi at the CLT airport - far cry from most airport food.”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

Short connection made much longer by a delay. Dinner here made the delay palatable. The spicy CLT Roll will be a must on my next trip through Charlotte.

“Nice dinner waiting on our flight”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

My husband and I stopped here between flights in January 2012. It was in the evening and even though the airport was crowded, there was still a table available. The sushi was great as well as the service. I don't remember the name of our waitress, but she was wonderful. The price was great, and the sushi was so delicious and fresh. I would highly recommend stopping by for a bite if you happen to be stuck in the CLT waiting for a flight.

“Very nice sushi place”
Reviewed May 17, 2012

I was having a layover in CLT and passed by this place on the way from one terminal to another, spying for a place to have a light dinner. Of all the places there were open around 9:00pm between terminal B & C this was the most promising and least greasy. The sushi is rolled before your eyes as it should be if you sit down. You also have an option of just quickly picking up a tray of your favorite sushi kind and eating it on the plane. The prices are VERY reasonable despite the fact that it's in the airport, even for the beer. I definitely will seek it out again when passing through CLT.
