Most SpringHill Suites are similar but some are a bit better than others. This was an average location - good service, clean room and free Wifi, parking and breakfast. No complaints and service was good. Some of the newer SpringHill have two TVs and a bit more modern. Only a slight disadvantage to this property. Ate at Zapatas Mexican which was very good near the Hilton.

We booked 30 rooms and had a great experience. The staff was well organized, friendly and helpful. The hotel was recently updated and looked great. I really liked the room design and comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again!

I liked the location but otherwise it was just average. The "suite" name is misleading as most suites have two separate rooms, not one large room. TV was good. No amenities for a Silver member. Breakfast was not that good and was packed. I liked it that Romanos' Macaroni Grill is right next door.

My stay here was brief (only one night) but the staff was friendly and the room was very large. I got a room on the first floor that had high ceilings so the room felt even larger than it was. The breakfast buffet wasn't too appealing - by the time I had gotten to it, it had already been decimated by everyone else. Next time, I'll probably just skip it. Otherwise, a very nice stay.

On a trip south, I spent the night in Charlotte NC area in order to see old friends. This was my first stay the this location. There are five SpringHill Suites around Charlotte and this one had the lowest price and was near enough to where I wanted to be and far enough away from Charlotte traffic.

Positives? Nice staff; comfortable sleep; good air conditioner; nice selection of TV; comfortable couch (although room was smaler than some other SpringHill locations that I have stayed;) overall, quiet (except for al the kids staying there for soccer games.)

Negatives? Hallways incredibly hot; breakfast area for "getting food" is small and cramped; not a lof breakfast selections to be seen; business area is in "middle" of dining area; walls/doors allowed noise in (perhaps it was the kids on cell phones outside my door talking loudly?); and, lack of ice and/or freezer in rooms. The hotel also needs some maintenance. Shower head for instance. See photo.

Hotel is convenient to Tanger Outlets and Charlotte Speedway as well as all that is Charlotte but beware of interstate construction.

Room Tip: My room overlooked parking lot: Boring. Otherwise?

I stayed here on 06-16-12 while attending a HP Panther's AAU Track meet for my son at UNC Charlotte. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. I walked into the lobby and it was so nice and inviting. There was a social area to sit and talk, there was a place to play family games. As I continued from check out there was a very nice indoor pool with whirlpool. The rooms were beautiful in nice decorative decor. I was very pleased, as my other guests in the rooms. The hotel and room was very clean. The beds slept so good. I would recommend this hotel and when in the area I will stay here again.

Room Tip: No complaints!

Stayed here while starting a new job in Charlotte. The location is excellent for anything in the University Research Park/UNCC area, or even Concord Mills or the Speedway. I stayed in a "studio suite," which is a bit of a misnomer because it's just a slightly bigger than normal hotel room with a mini-fridge, a single-cup coffeemaker, a tiny microwave, and a couple paper plates. That's the "kitchenette."

The good: The room was big and quiet. It had a 37" HD TV. The bed was the best part of the whole thing, it was an extremely soft and yet comfortable king. Great sheets, fluffy pillows, well done all around. The hotel decor was sharp, especially in the common areas. The complimentary breakfast did have a couple of hot features (eggs, some sort of meat, biscuits) in addition to the usual cold cereals, juice, muffins, etc. The staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating.

The bad: The Internet was so slow as to be almost worthless--their complimentary iBahn "high-speed" Internet never broke 50kbytes/sec upload or download. Wired or wireless, day or night, weekday or weekend, it didn't matter. (Not a good thing for a hotel in a high-tech business park.) The working desk is right next to the underwindow A/C unit so if you're using it, you're going to freeze your left arm off. The TV can't be seen from the sofa, only from the bed. As mentioned above, the "kitchenette" isn't even worth the term. My second night in the hotel, housekeeping never even entered the bathroom to do anything--so the trash wasn't thrown out and the towels weren't changed. The elevators and hallways, for some odd reason, were always about 90 degrees and muggy even when it wasn't terribly hot outside. The "fitness center" is two treadmills and a stairclimber, and the indoor pool is very small.

As long as you don't need to actually work on the Internet, and somebody else is footing the $105+ a night bill, this isn't a bad hotel. But in terms of value for money, it's not very good.
