“A different take on art”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

This museum focuses on art of different styles, from clothing to furniture to craft exhibits of all kinds. The building itself is an architectural wonder, worth the price of admission just to admire it. Ideally situated near other museums and points of interest as well.

“Wonderful design and craft collection”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

The 3rd floor craft and design collection was beautiful. The collection was well displayed and had excellent documentation about the artists/craftspeople as well as video showing the creation of many of the works. Well worth a couple of hours of your time in Charlotte.

“Beautiful!”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Your ticket will cover 2 museum's-one downtown and one on Randolph road. It was good for 2 days. The Mint Museum Uptown has a variety of exhibits that are a delight to the eyes. Well worth the cost to get in. They also have a hands on area for Children/Family Room. Everyone enjoyed playing and creating in here.

“A Treasure!”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Recently went to see special World's Fair exhibit. Our group enjoyed an excellent docent led tour. The regular exhibits are fascinating, covering wide range art and design. Great place to take older children.

“Uptown Gem”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

We had a field trip there with the high school students. They divided us into two groups and the tour started immediately. The volunteers were well informed and very pleasant.
The exhibition was about the world fairs and all the items were well picked.
after the tour the students were inviated for a hand on activity in the fiarst floor and they really had the best time of their lives creating unique artifacts.
