Food here is amazing and you actually feel like you are helping the community. I call it "guilt-free fried chicken"!

I've had lunch at TKK any number of times (as an officer worker in the area), but last night my wife and I went for dinner the first time. The menu includes both typical upscale American food and a small soul food section (lunch is typical sandwiches and soul food). From the regular portion of the menu we each had an arugula salad (actually spinach, because they happened to be out of arugula) with radish, goat cheese and yellow beets ($9 each). For the main courses I had seared scallops ($21) and my wife the "Low Country Pork Ragu" ($14). The salads and mains were excellent, as were our chocolate dessert treats.

The servers are part of the resturant's ministry mission - they are well-trained, professional and really seem to enjoy their work. Many other Charlotte restaurants could take a lesson from how they do it here.

The decor is a little on the cool side, but perfectly fine. Not much sound dampening, so it can be noisey when crowded. As I recall, it's just what was left over from an earlier restaurant in the space that did not succeed.

This restaurant's food, service, and atmosphere are as good as its cause. Our dinner entrees ranged from down-home mac & cheese to seared scallops, and all were delicious. Looking forward to another visit to Charlotte and the opportunity to visit The King's Kitchen again!

This meal was probably the best meal we had in Charlotte. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Loved it!

We stopped in here for lunch one day to mainly support their cause. We were very plerasantly surpirsed to have a wonderful experience; good service &, good food at a moderate price considering its downtown location.
