The center is located downtown and very close to several hotels. A few hotels are well within walking distance and the rest offer shuttle service if a convention is going on that week. You also have several restaurants within the area so you really do not need a car.
The convention center has three different levels with different size rooms for training, presentations and exhibits. The layout can be a bit confusing so make sure you have a map or simply ask if you do not see the room number you are looking for within a few minutes. Overall walking distance is not too bad considering how many options you have on rooms. There are several open areas that provide seating so you can eat or work in between meetings. Food and drink vendors are located on the top floor and are open starting at 7 a.m. This may change with the venue so make sure to ask.
There is a paid parking lot across the street which charges $10.00 per day. There is additional parking in other areas but I did not try it since I wanted to limit my travel time. The hotel shuttle ran ever hour and seemed to be on time from what others shared.
