We stayed here from May 30th to June 1 and absolutely loved it. As someone that travels often for work, and has stayed in many hotels all over the country, the friendliness of the Drury Inn staff stood out. The manager on duty that checked us in, Ivana Cannon was a delight and instantly made us feel welcome. All the other staff members we interacted with were friendly and courteous as well. The 5:30 kickoff was a pleasant surprise, something we had not seen at any other chain hotel. We were in Charlotte to help our son move into his new apartment so it was great to not have to worry about going out to eat after a long day! Decent food and surprising number of options as well. I and my husband could also get 2 alcoholic beverages during kickback which was awesome!
Breakfast was also good- with lots of options to choose from. I enjoyed the waffles while my son loved the biscuits and gravy.
Our room and bathroom was clean and pleasant and had all the basic amenities- fridge, TV, microwave, hairdryer, wifi, etc. I also loved the easy access to all the shops at the Northlake mall. I could just cross the street and walk over to the Macy's.We're going to try and stay at here every time we visit Charlotte from now!

We booked this hotel and particularly a 2 room suite expecting to have space for everyone to be comfortable and not cramped. We also thought the room would provide ample luggage and seating space. The room was large but the space was not used in a positive way. The front room with a chair a pull out sofa was large. It had a desk and TV with 3 drawers under the TV. The back room had 2 beds a dresser with TV and one nightstand to be shared by both beds. There was one closet and one luggage rack. We took extra clothes hangers cause we knew that would be an issue. There was a space between the 2 rooms where there was a small sink (with no hot water) and counter space. The counter was very high. The small fridge was under the counter behind a cabinet door that made it difficult to get to and it was basically at the floor which also made it difficult to get into. The bathroom was located the that same space between the 2 rooms.
The AC worked ok but kept the front room very cold compared to the bedroom area so the person sleeping on the pull out was huddled under blankets while those in the beds were under only sheets trying to balance out the temp. The vents also blew directly onto the sofa and the desk. That made it very uncomfortable to be trying to work at the desk with the cold air blowing directly on your body.
The TV channel selections were very bad and there were no movie channels or on demand channels. The locations of the outlets were also not well designed. There were outlets on the nightstand and the desk but not much else. If you plugged in more than one thing on those they got hot. The few on the walls were behind furniture and were taken up by TV's and lamps so basically unusable. We had to squeeze behind the TV dresser to plug in hair blowers and flat irons.
The beds were too soft making it difficult just to try and sit on them. You had to climb into the middle not to fall off. If you wanted to eat in the room the desk could be used as table but only two chairs in room.
It is nice that they offer complimentary happy hour and breakfast, however, the food is the same selections it has been for over 10 years. Some offerings from 10 years ago are now even missing. We were there 3 mornings of a weekend and never saw bacon, only greasy sausage. The happy hour offerings are very boring and repetitive. If you have several kids I guess it's a good deal but not for adults.
The one shining thing I noticed was that the staff were all friendly and nice. They did all they could with what management or corporate gave them to work with. But for a hotel that was just renovated we expected more upgrades and modern features than what we experienced.

We were super impressed with the level of customer service at this hotel. Free cocktail hour with food every day, not just weekdays, and a great breakfast . We will definitely stay in a Drury property again!

This has been our first stay at Drury and we plan on staying at this chain every time we travel. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The hotel and rooms are clean. Rooms are spacious and include all your expected amenities (fridge, coffeemaker, etc). Soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers are right in the shower. Comfortable bed. There are quiet hours starting at 10pm which was just great for us who needed to get a good night’s sleep. This is a very family oriented chain. There is an evening happy hour from 5:30-7pm where light foods are served along with drinks, all included in your stay. On the night we were there it was delicious penne pasta, baked potato, salad, tortilla wraps with items to put in, and other items I forget now. Breakfast was amazing – many more warm options than any other hotel chain we stayed in before – and at least 4 waffle makers so there was never a long wait to make a waffle. Popcorn and juice was served all day which was fun for the kids. I would recommend this hotel chain.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Every staff member was SO friendly. Also, the breakfast and evening food and beverages were phenomenal. I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone, and I’d definitely stay again.
