I hosted a dinner for friends and clients at Chima Brazilian Steakhouse in Charlotte. The service was excellent and the quality and quantity of the food was overwhelming. If you're a meat lover, you might make the mistake of passing on the exceptional salad bar in the hope of saving room for more of the delicious and perfectly prepared meats, chicken and fish. My recommendation - try a little of everything including the salad bar!
The restaurant is decorated with warm, dark colors and the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. We had a round table for 8 and there was plenty of room - no one felt squeezed and there was ample space between tables and parties. We could easily enjoy dinner conversations without the need to raise our voices.
Of course, the main attraction is the unlimited meats, chicken and fish. Again, my suggestion is to try a small sample of everything you think you might enjoy and then get focused on what you enjoyed the most. For me, I thought the top sirloin and lamb chops were truly exceptional - but everything was delicious. The salmon, for example, was wonderful so a non-meat lover will enjoy the food just as much. The carvers were always very attentive and pleased to continue to offer more until we all had reached our limit.
Plan on spending about $60 per person (including a drink or glass of wine - but excluding tip). We lingered over 2 hours and never felt hurried or rushed.
