Description: Rí Rá opened its doors for the first time on March 14th, 1997. The pub survived a major fire in 2009 and will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2017. Meticulously restored in Ireland and shipped to the US, Rí Rá embodies everything that you would expect from a genuine Irish pub. The pub has been carefully restored from old Irish pubs and related salvaged artefacts including an original shop bar, a 19th century Victorian bar. The pub and fire restoration required a tremendous effort from a select group of master carpenters, glazers and painters. We are proud to showcase a unique and genuine Irish pub in Uptown Charlotte.

“Get the fried pickles!”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

My husband & I sat at the bar and had beer & appetizers. The fried pickles were so, SO good. They were gone so fast that I thought about getting another order, but got the potato cakes instead -- also very good. Loved the duck on top.

Sunday night there were a few musicians playing and it was a perfect way to end a fun and relaxing weekend. Can't wait to go again.

“What an awesome find! This is what one would expect from a pub in Dublin.”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

Authentic down to the mahogany bar. Excellent shepherd’s Pie and a fine beer selection. At night this becomes a two-level entertainment establishment with live music up top and a DJ down below. If you want a nice, quiet meal come for dinner. If you want a full energy scene come late at night.

“Good food, a nice roof garden, and more”
Reviewed September 27, 2013

Had a conference reception here. They gave us great drinks, no skimping, plenty of good food and a choice of a full room to ourselves or a chance to go out on the roof top patio. Instead of the usual hit and run, folks were still here two hours after the event ended. A great spot for a drink and/or meal.

“Great Irish Food”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

A warm Irish welcome, plenty of good food choices on the menu. We started with the potato and leek soup, they serve it with irish soda bread - delicious, and it was hot, not warm. Then we had bangers and mash which comes with proper bacon (rashers) and I was able to order black and white pudding with the meal. Being from England with Irish parents, it was a gastro trip down memory lane. Of course we had Guinness with the meal. Our server was Robert, from Ireland, making it a very authentic night out. I would highly recommend this restaurant/pub.

“loved this place!”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

Great place to hang out when you are visiting! We came to town form 4 hours away and walked around and decided on this place- and we are glad we did! The atmosphere is amazing- historic and comfortable. The staff is so kind and our waiter assured us his Irish accent was real and he showed us where he was from on the Ireland map- very cool. The menu and beer selection were extensive. I had a Reuben sandwich and it was amazing!
