First time in a Hilton and it's a good experience. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, nice room, good little "supermarket" with treats n' stuff and a bar, that I did not visit. Hotel sits in it's own little compound area called Ayrsley town, a very small area, but with some okay restaurants and a very nice bar called Harry's just across the way.
Tip for your room. Be careful how you adjust your bed. It took me a few nights to figure out I needed it on Hard to sleep well.

Room Tip: It seems like all the rooms in my party of travellers were all nice and quiet and we stayed in all sides of the hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel for two years in a row for a conference. It is quiet, clean and comfortable- and offers a great breakfast. The staff are friendly and accommodating. This convenient location has a shuttle to the airport. It is less than 10 minutes to Carowinds and 2 minutes away from major restaurants and fast food, as well as other stores. It is walking distance from local restaurants.

Stayed at HGI Ayrsley on business trip. Rooms very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent and cooked-to-order with ready-now coffee in lobby throughout the day for pass-thrus. Bar is a little small, especially considering the size of the lobby. Service was top-notch.

The fitness room could stand to be upgraded. A bench in the lobby located near the doors off the street is severely stained. Bar was nice, with a calming atmosphere. Bartender was accommodating and friendly. Front desk staff was professional, friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were extremely comfortable.

I always find this place very busy, full of your basic polo and khaki clad businessmen. The rooms are pretty good, although it's really hard to get the room dark (you'll have to put a towel at the base of your door, unplug the microwave, move the clock radio off the nightstand, and cover up the smoke detector with a brightly lit LED light on it). Kudos to the attentive front desk and breakfast staff (service is the best thing about this location). Ayrsley is a great place to stay on a business trip: good restaurants to walk to, a movie theatre next door, etc.
