Visited Maggiano's for the first time last night, and for the money we spent, I didn't really think it was worth it. The food was average at best. The bread that was brought to the table was very crispy on the outside, and tough and tasteless on the inside. There was some plain olive oil at the table for dipping (don't they put any herbs or anything in there, like at some other chains? Plain oil, kind of gross). Service was super slooooooow also. For dinner, we ordered lasagna and lobster ravioli, respectively. The lasagna had a few extremely thin layers of pasta and mainly consisted of cheese and meat. Trust me, I love cheese, but this was overkill. Not enough sauce on top, either. Lobster ravioli was ok, nothing to jump up and down over. We ordered dessert (which took like, 20 minutes to get to us, I was ready to tell the waitress to forget it - did I mention slow service?), the apple crostada, it was like a cripsy McDonald's apple pie with a scoop of ice cream on top, and some caramel sauce. Not bad, but I've had better desserts. Overall, for what we paid, I wouldn't really consider Maggiano's worth it. Honestly I've had better meals at other (less expensive) Italian chains.
