“Restaraunt Service :( and Noisy Guests”

The staff here was very helpful and very nice. The breakfast buffet was over priced and not very good. We had to wait for service in the restaraunt 25 minutes before we were ever asked if we wanted something to drink, and then an hour and 20 minutes before we actually received our meal, again the meal was not very good and over price. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, however, the other guests on our floor didn't care that they were slamming doors at all hours of the night and early hours of the morning. Really, how difficult is it to hold the door and close it quietly behind you rather than just let it go and allow it to slam. This went on all night and into the early hours of the morning. We were here on business working very long days and this was just plain rude and inconsiderate. We realize the guest issue wasn't the fault of the hotel, but over a 3 night stay we were exhausted from lack of good sleep and even though this hotel is downtown, the street traffic is not an issue.

Thank you for your review and for your comments. I have reviewed what occurred during your breakfast experience in our restaurant with our Food and Beverage management and have analyzed what occurred and will take steps to prevent this from happening in the future. As for noise in the corridors, whenever we receive complaints of this nature from our guests, our team members take immediate action to prevent further disturbance. I do not know if you contacted our guest service agents to address the noise, but encourage you to do so if this happens in the future. We went there for a football game. Hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location so you can walk to the Bank of America Stadium. My son and grandson were with me and both were very happy with the location in that we were able to walk to get something to eat and see the nice buildings in the area.

We stayed at the Double Tree by Hilton in Charlotte while we were visiting Johnson and Wales University. We were very happy with the location not only to the college, but to all the attractions that the city has to offer. The hotel is has a modern decor and the staff is extremely helpful.

Parking - $13.00 Extra; Wi-fi in Room $10.00 Extra; Buffet Breakfast $15.00 per person Extra; Bottled Water - $3.00 Extra; Starbucks Coffee down the street $3.00 Extra because the coffee pot in the room was too dirty to drink from.

Thank you for your review. Please accept my apology for the condition of your in-room coffee pot. I have reviewed your comment with our Director of Housekeeping to ensure that we are thoroughly inspecting these prior to checking a guest into the room. I regret that we must charge a fee for our parking facilities, but we do not own the parking deck and do have to pay for our guests to have use of these spaces. Incidentally, based on my research, I do not know of a comparable hotel in the center city that offers complimentary parking. As for the internet service, it is very expensive to not only cover the monthly service fees, but we spend a great deal of money to maintain our hardware so that we can provide our guests with fast and reliable wireless and hardwired internet service. Our breakfast buffet is priced competitively with other hotels in Charlotte. In addition, we offer an extensive selection of items on our menu at a price point to meet most any budget. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I may be of further service to you and thank you again for your review.

Very nice, clean hotel in a quiet, secure location with very easy access from the Interstate. Short walking distance to the Charlotte sports venues. Plenty of parking. The staff was very accommodating and helpful.

Have stayed here many times for business. The place has gone through some needed upgrades over the past year or so and is a terrific value. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the time to downtown is minimal.

I thought the hotel was conveniently located near everything, but by the time you pay for parking and wifi there are better options that cost less located closer to restaurants and points of interests.
