Description: When you walk through the shadowed glass doors of Talulla's, an instant transformation begins to occur. Your mind and body begin to relax. Your ears pick up on the eclectic mix of music. Your eyes wonder around the walls, decorated in Turkish rugs; then the ceilings, scattered with warm, unique lighting pieces; then the floors... the dark, hardwood floors; and finally, across the plush seating areas, disguised by cushions and pillows and fabric leisurely draped around the frames.

“Nice Surprise on Franklin Street”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Based on other reviews, my husband and I recently ate here following a basketball game. Great atmosphere and outstanding food. Service was top notch. We started with the hummus, and I had the Balik Sis and my husband had Talullah's Guvec. The flavor combinations were unbelievable, and everything we had was light and fresh. We thought it was an excellent value for how good the food was. Despite our best efforts at eating all of the hummus, they packaged it up for us to bring home with an extra round of their warm hearth-baked bread. Yum!

“Wonderful Turkish Food”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

We had the pleasure of going to Taullas for New Year's Eve with a party of 12. It was a limited menu for the holiday with a wine pairing and every dish was wonderful. We had salad, main course and dessert and couldn't have been more pleased. Everyone was happy with their meal and the flavors were fresh and exotic. The staff was very accomodating with our large group and answered all our questions about the food and preparations. The wine for each course was great too. We all agreed we would love to return!

“Outstanding Authentic Turkish Cuisine”
Reviewed January 4, 2013 via mobile

This review is based on four visits to Talullas over a period of 9 months. In a very welcoming atmosphere, they offer outstanding Turkish food. Ever dish we have had so far was a great combination of flavors that complimented each other perfectly. On top of that, the ingredients are very fresh and the portions are more than either my partner or I could eat. If you go there on a weekend, I highly recommend the Ískender Döner Kebab; the pieces of meat just melt in your mouth, and the tomato sauce must be one of the most flavorful sauces I have ever had. We also enjoy their Turkish coffee, which comes with the grounds in the cup--again, very flavorful. Among our top 5 restaurants in the triangle.

“Authentic Turkish Food”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Talullas is the real thing! The owner and staff are Turkish and have a hospitality background in Turkey. The menu includes traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern dishes, but also specials. And the sea food is outstanding--always fresh. Desserts are also delicious. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and enjoy talking about the food, their country, and answering any questions you might have. Highly recommend.
