Don't have to wear a tie/coat or fishing license. lol
The owner is visible and has a sincere smile and greeting. He came to our table to welcome us and to share in our discussion. Very nice and friendly.
Service was excellent, didn't wait for waitress, nobody was rushed. Waitress even allowed us to make changes in our order. She also often checked on us to make sure we had everything. Owner came back to share a special food item at no charge. Just nice and classy.
The food; simply delicious, favorful and hot. Portions were good size. My son had crab cakes and would NOT share them. I love shrimp and scallops...didn't share them either.
Highly recommend for sea food loving, over and over!!! Our 3rd time there-we live out of state.

I've driven by this restaurant a dozen times and never thought to stop, perhaps because the building is not particularly eye-catching. After eating there for the first time, however, I will certainly go back: The variety was excellent (not just fried food), the food was tasty and can usually be prepared to order, portions were plentiful, prices were excellent, and service was good. While probably not intended to be an upscale fish restaurant, it is certainly good for a nice meal and is very family friendly.

We have gone here for years and the food has always been really good! Not to mention the tea! Only complaint is the service is a little slow. It's not really a place were you can grab a quick meal and go.

fried, fried and fried. maybe some broiled or boiled but all i like is popcorn shrimp. food was good and service was fast. great ice tea. did not get a bowl of hushpuppies when i sat down though. not sure if they offer that to all tables or not though most places like this do offer that. going back down to chapel hill next month and will hit this place again if time permits.
