I visit the area often for business and was told by the locals that this place was a must. It did not disappoint! In a land of chain stores and box restaurants, it is great to find a place with such unique offerings. From beautiful serving pieces to gourmet food ( smoked scallops to due for!) you can really go crazy in this store. The icing on the cake is the very friendly and knowledgable staff.

If you enjoy cooking or gourmet food you will likely love this place. A deli, cheese shop, coffee bar and candy shop are each tempting. They sell most any kitchen gadget you would want.

Lots of choice of food from around the world... A little expensive but when you need something different then this is the place to find it.

I absolutely love A Southern Season's cooking school. I've been to about a dozen classes since they started offering them. I've started a tradition of going to one for my birthday celebration. Not only can you count on have a great meal (with wine) but the celebrity chef is always entertaining and has many cooking tips. Virginia Willis was wonderful on March 22. The cooking school venue is intimate and high tech. The audience sits at tables on a tiered floor with an unobstructed view of the long cooking counter outfitted with cameras and mirrors. Close-up views are shown on screens above the cooking area (so that you don't miss a thing). It is just like the cooking shows on TV except that you get to eat the food being prepared! Some classes are hands on but the majority are watch and eat only. The support staff of a SS are wonderful as well. Many classes have a celebrity chef, a seasonal theme, or concentrate on a particular topic like "chocolate" - mmmm my favorite! There is a class for everyone!
