“Neglected Motel”
Reviewed May 21, 2014 via mobile

This motel is an absolute disaster. Regardless of convenience due to the proximity to the ferry you should stay away. The room that we were given smelled of ammonia and was in terrible condition. There were plenty of spiders and bugs scurrying around the beds which is not surprising given how dirty the room was.

The shower had no pressure whatsoever and the water intensely smelled like iron.

I understand wanting to stay away from soulless chains but in this case a little bit more corporate style management and cleanliness would go a long way.

“Food tastes like no one goes there.”
Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Ive had food here twice. Everything that was cooked was at best mediocre- usually worse than that. My food was cooked in old grease so it had that flavor.

That said, go to the hotel, but go expecting a very basic facility. Cedar Island is one of the quietest, most peaceful places I know. If you are into a place that has beaitiful empty beaches with horses on it sometimes, where the only sounds you hear after the last ferry is that of the winds, bugs, and birds then this is the place for you. It can be an extremely relaxing experience.

Just get your food at the other place and expect a basic hotel.
