When I go to a fishing area, I don't expect luxury...it was a great place to visit and eat...as far as the review about the seafood being frozen...unless it is in season...all seafood if flash frozen to preserve its fresh flavor..the restaurants you are talking about in town are all imported seafood and most times the shrimp are from Taiwan or China...so fresh good seafood taste funny to people who are not used to it...secondly to the person who talked about funk...any older building will have a smell because they on on sealevel and the humidity will produce a smell no matter how clean it is...so unless you saw filth it was probably clean...so don't compare it to luxury in other cities...if you want that then you should just stick with 5 star hotels...and pay the price...I love it and thought the experience was just what I expected....and suggest if you want great food in a old atmosphere which is not changing to make it like everywhere else(which what it is supposed to be) you will have a great experience....keep it going Driftwood and don't change for anyone...
