“A little Gem”
Reviewed May 15, 2014

Small menu but everything we tried was excellent. The hamburger was enormous and very flavorful . Smoked salmon flatbread was great, and the crab purses in phyllo pastry were winners. Interior is much cozier than with its previous owners, still needs a little work in that area but it has a nice atmosphere and delightful to have some background music. I would certainly recomend especially as they change the menu nightly, unheard of in this town. Other restaurants need to take note!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

We popped into Chez Dupont for dinner last night, and as it is brand new to Cashiers had no idea what to expect. We chose to sit up at the bar where there is a window looking into the kitchen and after watching some pretty amazing-looking creations come out, we ordered a variety of small and large plates to share. We were officially wowed the moment the starters came out. The presentation was excellent, but it was that first bite of the salmon flatbread that had me believing we had stumbled into something really special. We also had the olives and the black bean hummus with avocado, and all of them were unbelievably flavorful and fresh. The main courses were just as surprising. The short rib over creamy polenta took the cake for me, but the T-Mex salad, fresh gazpacho, and the roast beef sandwich were all excellent. The portions were nice and large, but do save room for dessert- the homemade gelato was so yummy.

We originally had other plans for tonight, but have already decided to return to Chez Dupont, as the menu will be Vietnamese-inspired. It's going to be fun to see what the Chef Christopher is going to come up with on this revolving menu. This is such a welcome gourmet addition to the Cashiers dining options and I know this is going to be our new "must go" every time we come in town this summer. They are still working on the space and decor, but it already has a warm, casual vibe and honestly, the food speaks for itself.

“Fantastic Food”
Reviewed May 3, 2014

Simply awesome food that you don't expect to find in Cashiers. Very creative menu, we had a wide range of items throughout dinner that went great together. We shared a few of the small plates and then each ordered or own large plate. We tried the beef short rib which had crazy flavor, the roast beef sandwich that was loaded up, and the smoked salmon flatbread. They're clearly still growing into their space and will do so over time, but there's no substitute for great food. We're going back tonight.
