Stopped in this evening for a light dinner. We sat on the bar side where we could watch some of the Sweet 16. The bar appears to be smoke free, which we appreciate. It is a small and intimate space, perfect for couples but a large group would overrun the place.
My husband ordered Buffalo wings, which he really enjoyed. I ordered crab stuffed mushroom caps and a Baja shrimp cocktail. The mushrooms ware small and the filling was a bit nondescript. I really did enjoy the sauce that they were served with. My shrimp cocktail was really different. The shrimp was chopped fairly finely and mixed with a salsa with several slices of avocado on top. the cocktail was served with a pita type chip. The onion in the salsa tended to overpower the shrimp a bit but overall it was a very fresh and tasty dish. Our desserts ware the perfect crowning touch. The chocolate log cake was warm and rich, served with ice-cream and fresh whipped cream. The salted caramels were my favorite item of the evening. They were the perfect combination of sweet and salty to end the meal.
The menu here is very interesting. Being Good Friday, I had to limit my choices. I'd love to come back and explore some of the meat based dishes.
