“Not a good time to be here”

We've been here many times and it seems the renovations are done piecemeal over some years. Now drilling and hammering start at 9AM, which is quite unpleasant. The rooms are getting tired, although a few minor improvements have been made. They are quite clean and tidy however. The staff is fine, with the breakfast lady being the best we've ever seen! The breakfast has no hot dishes other than microwave packages that taste exactly as they look. They expect a real kitchen in the future. This is a good Hampton Inn, but not the star of the show. There are minor things in the room that should be fixed, for example, the remote control, the clock radio, and the heating unit. The heat is on constantly and cannot be regulated; we kept ours at 63 just to be reasonably comfortable.

Room Tip: Wait until the renovations are completely done.

Visited this HI for the first time to see family, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Friendly staff, room well done, etc etc. would suggest you replace the plastic warmed breakfast with breakfasts like other hamptons. not your style! thanks.

Room Tip: we always ask for a quiet room away from the elevator.

Cleanliness was just not up to snuff...unless finding prior guest's hair in your tub is normal?! I understand that renovation has to happen sometime but the halls were filthy, elevators in constant use by contractors in the morning.

I can't say enough glowing things about the staff of the Hampton Inn Raleigh/Cary NC. They were incredibly helpful, polite, and positive and they went far above the requirements of the job to make my stay as convenient and pleasant as possible. My room, especially the bathroom, were spotless. I walked around the room in white socks and they stayed completely clean.

Quality of all Hamptons is reasonable price for clean, comfortable room. Close proximity to WakeMed is a plus. Any hotel should alert guests if it is under construction. All common spaces from ground up were in renovation mode.

While the staff was friendly and the room was clean, the layout of the room was not conducive to lengthy work, the desk is directly next to the heater, which I used for hours at a time doing work, which dried my eyes and ear. Also the cleaner used to clean carpets kicked my sinus into overdrive. For breakfast, expect microwavable eggs, French toast and bagels with fruits and juice or tea/coffee. Bed was very comfortable though. Gym was small, no benches.

Traveling with high-schoolers made simple. Clean, accommodating, and excellent staff. We stayed for 3 days arriving late at night. The staff were prepared for our late night check in and swiftly checked us in...the communication in advance was great. Especially once I called the hotel directly and was guided through our visit by the local staff.
