Sweet tomatoes is just that, a place for vegitarians to get their fill at a great salad bar. A small tiny container of chicken breast will cost you $3 bucks extra. The place is chaos, not quiet or comfy by any means. This is not a date night place. The price is ok for what you get, and the best part about it is the warm deserts.

This is a great place for salads and you can either get some of their mixed salads or create your own with their wide range of ingredients. They also have a wide variety of soups, usually about 5 or 6 and several kinds of bead or muffins. The muffins and soups are usually very tasty. They also have freshly assembled pasta which is fine, but I like everything else better. The deserts are soft serve ice-cream or jello. You can go back for more food so if you want to seriously chow down, you can do it for a very modest price. This is a place where you can eat a very healthy meal or you can consume lots of calories, but it your choice of what you want to eat.

The place is undergoing a makeover and from what we saw, cheap is the objective. Immediately upon entering the diner is greeted by large stacks of smaller plates. Maybe it is to create the impression the diner is piling more on their plate or to cut down on wasted food. We heard one server tell a patron that the new plates were slicker and harder to handle. Thankfully, the salad offerings haven't changed. They are still fresh and crisp. That is the reason this place has customers. The beverage glasses have changed and have gotten smaller. If you want water, prepare either to get several glasses initially or make several trips back to the beverage center area. For soft drinks or tea, the glasses are a bit larger, but still need constant refilling. Management has also made the decision to place napkins in small buckets at each table. Cute! Reminds one of JCS! While not really a management issue, we saw numerous unruly and unsupervised children sticking their grimy fingers in the containers of pickles, lettuce and shredded carrots to get a taste.
