“Good food, great staff.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 4, 2013

Went to visit here with the wife for the first time for a Saturday dinner. We made reservations and therefore had no wait. By 6pm, however, there were folks lining up in and outside.

The food was quite good overall. We had some sweet potato hush puppies that were a bit undercooked but still quite tasty. The wife had fish with a Cajun flair and I had a southern/Cajun inspired chicken plate for dinner. The food was quite flavorful (in a good way) and the Cajun and Southern flavors are great. It was delivered hot and in a timely manner.

The staff was attentive, helpful with the menu, and quite polite.

The restaurant is a *bit* on the loud side for my taste, but the din is very manageable in the high-top booths.

At least in the evenings, this is the type of restaurant where you may want to wear something nicer than jeans and a t-shirt. Golf shirts, sweaters and khaki pants were the norm for the gentlemen.

“Just Average”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 20, 2013

Had lunch on a weekday. The restaurant reminds me of a J. Alexander's both in menu and decor. The service was good and prompt (a must for lunch). Ordered a rib eye steak with a side of green beans. The steak was mostly fat and gristle. The green beans were very good but couldn't save the steak.

I am sorry you did not care for the fat content we offer in our Ribeye. We do have two other Certified Angus Beef options available that are much leaner. The Blue Cheese and Herb Crusted Sirloin and the Stew Beef and Rice (which uses filet mignon tips). Both of those dishes have great flavor and will have almost no fat, unlike the Ribeye that will have a higher fat content. Thank you for dining with us and I hope to serve you again soon,

Shane

“Mixed Review”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

My husband and I dined at Lucky 32 for dinner. He had the catfish with three vegetables and said it was very good. I had the Kentucky Bourbon ribeye with salad and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were mediocre, and the ribeye, while tasty, had a lot of gristle and fat. For $28 it should have been a higher quality beef. I ended up leaving half of it behind. We also ordered the artichoke appetizer, and that was fabulous. Absolutely delicious. Creamy sauce to die for. We had excellent service--our waitress was wonderful.

I am so happy to hear you had great service and really enjoyed the catfish and artichoke dip. I wish we had done a better job noticing you did not care for the Kentucky Ribeye. If we were paying better attention we should noticed and offered you our Blue Cheese and Herb Crusted Sirloin which doesn't have the same great marinated flavor as the Kentucky Ribeye, but has much less fat content. I am sorry you were not happy with the Ribeye.

“Lucky 32 Southern Kitchen”

This was my first time dining at this restaurant. The service was good and the decor was very nice. However, the ambiance was leaning more towards an adult atmosphere and the music genre can be improved. The food: I had the sweet whipped potatoes and it was excellent as was the chicken. The rice looked and tasted undercooked --not fluffy. Finally, if I were to compare Lucky32 with another similar local restaurant I could not. But if I did, it would be Seasons 52 located in Altamonte Springs, Fl.

“Great dinner.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile

I had the blue cheese sirloin with green beans, collards, and southern grit cake. All were great, but the grit cake was especially tasty. The sauce was decadent. My colleague had the jambalaya with asparagus on the side. Both were very good. Good service , beverages were served "right" and the ambience was warm and inviting. We'll be back for sure.
