Went to visit here with the wife for the first time for a Saturday dinner. We made reservations and therefore had no wait. By 6pm, however, there were folks lining up in and outside.
The food was quite good overall. We had some sweet potato hush puppies that were a bit undercooked but still quite tasty. The wife had fish with a Cajun flair and I had a southern/Cajun inspired chicken plate for dinner. The food was quite flavorful (in a good way) and the Cajun and Southern flavors are great. It was delivered hot and in a timely manner.
The staff was attentive, helpful with the menu, and quite polite.
The restaurant is a *bit* on the loud side for my taste, but the din is very manageable in the high-top booths.
At least in the evenings, this is the type of restaurant where you may want to wear something nicer than jeans and a t-shirt. Golf shirts, sweaters and khaki pants were the norm for the gentlemen.
