Great food and service well worth the hour drive. There was 5 of us and we all ordered something different ,burger, chicken ravioli and pasta for main course, each of us had a first course selection and dessert...Delicious!! Liked that we were not rushed

My wife and I decided to try Academy Street instead of heading into Raleigh or Durham the other night. We were pleasantly surprised. The meal was on par with any of the better restaurants in both those locations. The weather was fantastic so we sat outside on there patio which was great. There was a few service slip ups but they were handled nicely and nothing that would merit a complaint, in fact I think since they were handled well its actually a plus since most restaurants have slip ups from time to time. We will be back and I would recommend to friends.

This is my second visit and I have to say the food was great. There were 3 of us and All our meals were very good. We had the Burger, excellent with great fry's!!; Soup and Beet salad were wonderful and they were very kind and bought a wonderful chocolate delight because were celebrating a birthday. Service was very good. They have a very nice area outside if you like that. We did and enjoyed it.

It's great to finally have a chef-driven restaurant serving this kind of food in downtown Cary. We ordered mostly daily specials for dinner (beet salad, quail salad, lobster ravioli) and everything was excellent. The service was friendly, professional and attentive. Dinner, including dessert, took almost 2 hours. so not a place for a quick meal. But, this kind of food made to order is worth the wait. We didn't notice the noise issues that some have mentioned, but the dining room was only half full on a weeknight. We will definitely return.

Have to say the noise has been an issue since they opened. We have heard the same song and dance from 4 different servers on 4 different visits. They are ordering this or that to muffle the noise. It has not happened and I am beginning to think it is not. You can not hold a conversation and NOT a place for a romantic dinner. The food for us this time was not up to par. And seems like a lot of new faces. Service was okay but our server was running inside and outside. So therefore often we were waiting for refills on our cocktails. The portions have always been small but after visiting other restaurants in the area (we are new to cary) the price point is not in line. 5 scallops for $27 is just ridiculous. The Crab cake I mean Crab meatball, is good but very small for $12. We will not be back. Too many other choices with better food. And for the record best burger in town. It is $14 but the only thing you wont go home hungry on if you are a guy.
