Neal's Deli makes an amazing hot dog. Try the Chileano completo and you'll never try anything else on the menu. Who thought of a hot dog with kraut, avacado salsa, and hot sauce on a pretzel bun? Yes it sounds crazy but its delicious. Neal's fits Carrboro to a T; friendly but funky. They seem to really care about the quality of food. Plenty of parking nearby but pay attention to the hours.

Neal's makes the very best breakfast biscuits! This is my favorite place for a yummy quick breakfast in Carrboro. I usually get the sausage, egg and cheddar. Recently i switched it up and tried the sausage, cheddar and apple biscuit. It was a great combo of flavors. The apples and cheddar had a nice smooth flavor to compliment the slightly spicy sausage. And Neal's uses locally grown and produced foods. They are supportive of the local economy and the environment.

Although the place is small, it has a very friendly feel to it. The service counter person is always welcoming and the food comes out quickly. We often sit outside at the front porch counter and watch life in Carrboro take off on another day.

The menu just doesn't offer enough of a choice, but service is always helpful and upbeat. The biscuits lack a light touch, but try their soups and muffaletta sandwich and other fresh vegetarian options.

Must be rated highly by local hipsters who worship the Neal family name. The owners are going to have to work harder to earn that kind of respect.

Try any of the sandwiches on a freshly made Biscuit, they are delicious! The Pastrami they offer is made at the Deli and not purchased elsewhere and it is the best I have had since leaving New York. I think anything you order will make you happy. The Hot Dog on a pretzel roll is also a winner.

It sure beats the Wendy's across the street for a satisfying lunch. It's small, but the sandwiches carry well, so you can make a picnic of it.
