The day we originally scheduled out kayak rental was way too dangerous, high winds, rough surf, etc. PADDLENC had our best interests in mind-- They were honest and encouraged us to reschedule for the next day when the conditions would be more favorable. We absolutely enjoyed the time on the water, envelope though it rained a bit we loved it!! THANKS PADDLENC!!
A friend and I decided to do this while visiting Carolina Beach. It was raining when our initial time was scheduled, and Paddle NC worked with us to find another time, later in the day. We enjoyed working with Sarah- awesome guide! Looking forward to trying again. Definitely worth the time & money
We took a two hour tour up the Cape Fear River outside of Carolina Beach State Park. As it was 4th of July weekend, the tour was full but our guide handled everyone's needs with a minimum of time lost. The tour is suitable for both beginner and experienced paddler. We own our own kayaks but are new to the area and were looking to become familiar with the area and learn more about tides, locations, etc... I enjoyed the narrative that our guide provided about the area and wildlife we encountered. Our guide answered our questions about the river and offered ideas for future paddling opportunities for us. I would recommend this tour for a nice experience kayaking in Coastal Carolina.
Great time had by all. Our group of friends took the guided sunset cruise. Our guide Chad was great. He helped the inexperienced in the group relax and learn how to kayak, and told us about the area as we paddled down the river. We paddled down to the Sugar Loaf Dune, got out and climbed to the top to see the breathtaking view and then paddled back. It was not too difficult and wished we had more time to go further. You will get a little wet but lots of fun. I will definitely do it again. Be sure to make a reservation.
