Our group of 6 (one was a 5 year old) ate at Michael's on Friday 8/7/09. We were told at 7:45 there was a 45 min wait which was not too bad. Actual wait was 1 hour. We placed our order at 8:50. At 9:30 our food was brought out. 2 of the orders were cold and 1 order was wrong. The child shrimp 'platter' was 8 boiled shrimp and some potato chips which cost $5.95. The waitress tried to convince my son to try the order (Penne Rachelle) that was wrong because it had "sundried tomatoes" and was better than the Alfredo he ordered. We asked to speak to the manager and she asked what we wanted to be done. I told her to do what she thought was right and we'd let her know if it was acceptable. She gave us a 20% discount, which barely took care of the tip (mandatory 18% for parties of 6 or more). Also, we were told the 'market' price for crab legs at the hostess station by a waiter and the price quoted by our waitress was different. We will never go back there again!!!!
The only enjoyable thing about the whole night was showing my granddaughter the fish tanks to try and take her mind off the wait and the fact that she was tired, cranky and hungry.

Fantastic chowder and reasonable house wine. Entrees were good and service was fine too. Good atmosphere and decor. Will go back soon.

visited Michael's on a day trip to the beach for a lunch meal. No problem getting a table, and our waiter took quick care of us for drinks. One member of our party wanted fried shrimp but they do not serve fried seafood. We each ordered a sandwich and tried one bowl of chowder to see how good it was. We all agree is was very good and ate it up.
Food was fine, served at the right temperature, two crabcake sandwiches and one mahi sandwich with "old bay seasoning" served on an onion roll with potato chips and coleslaw. Crabcake was tasty but the mahi had way too much seasoning and that ruined the taste for our diner.
We all agreed that the setting in the eating area was nice, drinks were refilled quickly and the food was OK in spite of the seasoning. I felt it was a little pricey for 3 of us to eat at $48.00 with tip for lunch but it is at the beach. You at least should try it for yourself !

we were here on vacaton wanting top quality seafood. We decided to stop in to michaels seafood and was very disappointed, we were very surprised to find the orders were not correct and the prices were very high for the quality of food. The portions were small for the price, and my daughter and guest had specifically ordered the clam chowder with a side order of peel and eat shrimp for $5.95. Not only did they get the order they requested, they also got the shrimp boat that they did not order and were charged for it, after telling the waitress it was incorrect. Also the gratuity charge was incorrect, which made our bill very high. All members of our party of 13 was very unhappy, and will not go back to this restaurant.

Like the other recent reviews ,our visit there over fathers day week was just as bad. First of all what are they trying to be ? There is everything on the menu from Pizza to steak and fish that is over cooked and overpriced. Our bill was at least a 100 bucks and that includes 2 kids meals and 2 adult meals. I say if your restaurant has seafood in its name then that is what you do best. And by the way, what are they trying to be ? , seriously # 1 an overly large bar with tv's tuned to sports # 2 a live piano player ? and not enough tables. Oh, like the other people said ,we would never go back.
