“A Little Piece of Heaven”
Reviewed July 6, 2009

If you are looking for peace and quiet and beauty and privacy all wrapped in lush green, stay here. We loved this little piece of heaven! Since we hadn't been to the area before, we spent alot of time away from the cabin, but next time, I know where I will spend most of my time. The gurgle of the stream running thru the property and views of neighboring gardens is priceless. Also, it is wonderful to have a friendly and caring owner/innkeeper. Thank you, Kate!

This was our first full family reunion in about 23 years. We needed a quiet relaxing place with great customer service so we could spend our time together. Most meals were somewhat spontaneous and at the Pavillian. We had two grills going and everyone just hanging out. The kids played in the field and the stream, some went on a hike to see the beautiful Blue Ridge. We're going back again!

Our family can never agree on anything! But, we all agreed that Mountain Springs Cabins was the perfect location for our recent family reunion. Everyone enjoyed the charming cabins (very clean), the beautiful landscaping, natural areas, cabin-side stream, and most of all, the commons area where the kids played volleyball, basketball, badminton, and more. The picnic pavillion, hammocks, and bonfire area were favorite hangouts. the short drive to Asheville was convenient for those who wanted some variety of activity. We had a delightful time and will definitely be back for years to come!

My wife and I happened upon this place back in April, and what a wonderful surprise!
We needed a few days to relax, and this is just what the doctor ordered. The owner has given a lot of effort in furnishing and decorating the cabins and in maintaining the property. The whole place is simple and beautiful. An added plus is that the location is within 30 minutes of some of our favorite places (Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, great hiking trails) We thoroughly enjoyed it, and we look forward to returning. Next time we will get a larger cabin and will invite other family members to join us. Bob Rymer and Catherine Anne Walsh

My family and I just returned from Mt. Springs and we are already planning our return trip! I highly recommend (2 thumbs up) Mt. Springs for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing family getaway! Awesome place for kids to safely play and parents to relax! From begining to end our experience was fantastic! Cabins were clean, cute and cozy. Every detail was thought of, down to the firefly jars! The property was not only beautiful -but inspiring, the stream had to be our favorite part! I think the price, location and accomodations make this cabin the best bet for your dollar! You will not be disappointed! Quick, easy and beautiful drive to local area attractions. Downtown Asheville was only 15 minutes, yet you feel you are hidden away in the mountains far from anywhere! I am telling everyone I know to make the trip -it's magic!!

Last January my fiance and I decided we needed to plan a quiet getaway when warmer weather came. After experiencing the effects of a "tough economy" we wanted 3 things: Get back to nature, get closer together, and not have to spend another fortune doing it..
We looked online for cabins in Asheville NC, and wound up calling Kate at Mountain Springs Cabins. She was cordial but still business-like, which turned out to be a good thing. Sometimes too folksy means corners have been cut somewhere, or undesirable patrons next door.
Kate recommended we look at her cabins on the website (which was well done) and especially at #9. After doing this we saw that it had a jacuzzi room while still being on the stream. After doing our homework we found that Mountain Springs was the only cabin resort with a stream in the area. So we booked it for a week in May.
Well May finally came, and we went...
Once there we got to meet Kate, who gave us everything we needed to make our trip the best ever. The cabin was so nice yet cozy, mother nature was in attendance, the jacuzzi was great and the fire place on a cool night in May made the night complete.. Morning came, we had our coffee on the front porch while being entertained by the sounds of the beautiful stream just a few yards away.
It was so nice knowing that we had made the right decision way back in January to come to Mountain Springs for a week. This experience did give us the 3 things we had hoped for,but it gave us something else too. Now we don't have to look anywhere else next time we need another getaway. Thanks Kate!!
