“First Class Cabin”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

From the initial email contact until our departure, the staff and the property exceeded expectations. Kate and her associate were friendly, accommodating, and especially helpful, as this was our first visit to the Asheville area. The cabin was immaculate, reflecting well-planned renovations and a dedicated maintenance staff. The thermostat-controlled fireplace was a nice touch. And the property gave us a great sense of the outdoors, complete with a babbling brook, morning rooster calls, and a neighboring hay field, without being too far off the beaten track. Our short stay will be fondly remembered. No complaints, aside those we took up with the rooster. (-;

From the initial telephone contact with this establishment to our departure everything here was just as we had hoped it would be. We love quaint and rustic, and these cabins certainly fit the bill. Not right in all the hustle and bustle of Asheville, the setting is perfect and restful. We were there in the earlier part of December so things were just quiet and peaceful. Our particular cabin was called The Potting Shed - plenty of room for just the two of us, but four people would have been accommodated with no problem at all. It was well stocked with plenty of towels, wash cloths, pans, utensils and kitchen settings.
As we walked to the cabin entrance door a sign greeted us by name - a very sweet touch which made us feel welcome. The gas fireplace inside warmed us up within moments and the twinkling Christmas lights above the fireplace provided all the light we needed for enjoying a romantic break from reality. The interior decorating was not overdone as can sometimes happen -just simple and understated. Thanks for this memorable time away. Who knows? This just might become an annual visit for us!

Room Tip: All of the cabins looked cute and nicely spaced apart on the grounds. The Potting Shed is a little...

My girlfriend and I went on a weekend getaway to Asheville and stayed in Mountain Springs Cabins in the adorable Katydid Cabin. The colors of the trees and the scenery was to die for. The cabin had the perfect amount of coziness and usefulness. Everything was absolutely wonderful and we will be returning as soon as possible. The service was impeccable and the customer service was perfect. I cannot say enough about how great our stay at MSC was!

After a year's absence, our family was thrilled to visit Mountain Springs agin in November 2013. It is amazing how much we all missed it. The good part is that it made the visit sweeter. Our teenagers were on the their phones less, we watch only one movie and spend lot of family time together. The staff were welcoming so it was like being with family that live elsewhere. Kate and Alicia were great as usual. One night we even had some friends over for dinner. Why sit in a restaurant when you have all the comforts of home right here at Mountain Springs cabin. We visited Cherokee, Chimney Rock, Downtown Asheville, Maggie Valley and at leasy 5 waterfalls. We made time to play in the field at the cabins as it is one thing we enjoy as a family. Instagram and twitter were used by the kids to post photos of this lovely place.

Room Tip: The Whipperwill is our favorite but the other look great as well.

We went there as a surprise from my husband for my birthday. We went in the fall, what a beautiful place and at a great location! The customer service received was superb! warm and friendly. Fire pits everywhere so you had your privacy- cabins are decorated with a special touch of warmth and home feeling. Tons of games and books to use. Large play area. The location is perfect, away from the business but only a few minutes from what you need! We liked it so much that we rented the biggest cabin for our family get away in the winter. Highly recommended!

My husband and I went to Mountain Springs in Candler, North Carolina which is very close to Asheville, NC. We had a great time. The customer service of Kate and her team was top notch. The cabin was rustic but very quaint and the king size bed was very comfortable. The cabin is well stocked for cooking if you choose to but there are so many wonderful restaurants in around the area you will probably want to eat out, particularly if it is just you and your hubby. It was a great time of rest and relaxation for us and we will definitely go again.

Room Tip: No swimming pool or fitness center but a great property to visit.

This wonderful place is just what we needed! After a busy couple of months, coming here to relax and refresh was an absolute joy. We are already making plans to come back again soon. The cabin was perfectly furnished and VERY clean. The property is beautiful and the staff is so helpful. We LOVED it!
