“Wish we could have stayed longer”

We stayed in Firefly - cozy but plenty of room for parents with two kids. The first thing we noticed was how clean the cabin was. The grounds were lovely, with flowers blooming everywhere and the creek providing a soothing background, often accompanied by some roosters. No traffic sounds, which was heavenly. The newest staff members were quickly my daughters' favorites: four little kittens scampering around, who came each morning to get their cuddles and share their purrs. Kate gave great advice on restaurants and activities - Sandy Bottom Trail Rides was a terrific tip! We are already planning next year's trip, but possibly getting some friends to book at the same time. I would highly recommend these cabins!

This is the second year in a row we stayed at Mountain Springs. This year, grandma came on the trip too. My children, now four and six, absolutely love Mountain Springs. This year the kids especially enjoyed visiting the kittens every day! The grounds are well kept and inviting. The stream/river is perfect for fishing, tubing, catching minnows, and wading in. We stayed in the Speckled Trout and enjoyed it. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We are already planning another trip down next year!

Since the mid-1940's, it has been a tradition for our family to have its reunions in North Carolina. We were thrilled to discover Mountain Springs Cabins and this summer eight families returned for our third week-long reunion there. It was great to find our favorite cabins neatly refurbished with air conditioning units in each cabin. The relatives all stock their cabin kitchens for breakfast and lunch. In the evening the families take turns providing a dinner for everyone. We take advantage of deli foods from nearby grocery stores, prepare some food in our kitchens and cook on the outdoor grills. One evening we dressed up for a delicious dinner out at Bistro 1896. The children, now older, enjoyed playing games and watching dvd's available at the Office as well as cooling off in the creek and playing ball in the open field. It was a real treat one morning to see hot air balloons landing nearby. This year we discovered the magnificent waterfalls and trails of Dupont State Forest and returned there several times to hike and swim. While the more energetic went white water rafting and on long hikes, others toured the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Biltmore Estate and went shopping in Asheville and at the Farmer's Market. By evening when we gathered for dinner at the pavillion, conversation was full of all the new and exciting things done that day. Mountain Springs Cabins offers the perfect setting for families to come together to bond, share and have fun.

We went down from Ohio to celebrate our aniversary. The stay was so relaxing. Sitting out on the back porch each morning for breakfast seeing the beutiful view was great. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hicking in the moutains. Grill is right out side the back door. Hamocks beside the stream were comfotable and relaxing. Sitting around the fire pit an enjoying the view and the sound of nature very relaxing. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of waterfall locations and other atractions. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Be blessed.

Room Tip: For a couple the mockingbird cabin is a great fit. Has AC and fullsize refrigerator and grill right...

Another wonderful visit to Mountain Springs. My children and grandchildren all love the place and every cabin we have stayed in has been special. We had a great weekend there and the boys (6&8) loved playing in the creek with the new floats. As always it was peaceful and serene. If I could live anywhere I wanted it would be right there on the property! I can't wait to schedule our next visit!

My husband and I discovered Mountain Springs by happen stance in the late 1990's. We stayed there three different times and invited other couples on two of the trips. We found it to be truly relaxing and in close proximity to both the Blue Ridge Parkway and Biltmore Estate. It was the perfect destination for exploring Asheville and the mountains. We now have three children and have stayed at Mountain Springs three times with them as well. It is an outstanding place to stay with children. The stream is the perfect place for them to fish, tube and explore -- and the playground is a fun diversion for them while my husband and I relax and prepare meals. We cannot wait until our seventh trip next summer.

Mountain Springs Cabins is everything we expected from their website and pictures of The Potting Shed. Its a very cosey cabin with comfortable beds and plush towels. Beautiful views from the porch's and when walking the property. The property and the cabin where immaculate and the staff very friendly. It's an easy ride into Asheville and surounding area. The neighbors are friendly and chatted with us from across the fence. We wil definetly be going back for a longer stay.

Room Tip: We traveled from Florida and used our GPS and it took us right to the resort.
