Cape Hatteras Bed and Breakfast

Exactly as advertised and more. Breakfast every day was different...at home we only eat breakfast on the weekend. Virginia and Jed take their jobs very seriously. However, Jed slipped up and took a kiteboarding lesson and hurt his leg. Virginia had to carry the whole load herself for three days. She did superbly. Like a trooper, Jed came back to work before he was totally healed. Totally relaxing for us. Eat, sleep, beach...repeat for seven days. ahhhhhhhhhh!

Room Tip: That will be done for you, this is a B&B.

This Bed and Breakfast is top notch, and definitely the best in the area. Virginia and Jed make your stay so relaxing and really welcome you into their home! Traveling from a distance? No need to pack all that extra beach equipment. They have chairs, umbrellas, coolers, everything you may need in the sand! If that's not enough, Chef Virginia will wow you with her culinary skills and make sure to stay hydrated with Jeds fantastic iced tea! We can't wait to return, hopefully before this season is over!!!

What a delight to find the Cape Hatteras Bed and Breakfast! We were seeking a few days of R&R at the last minute and were seeking a quiet place to rejuvenate. What a gem we found! Charming decorations, impeccably clean, all the amenities one needs for the beach (chairs, etc. for the beach, a grill, even bikes to ride). Innkeepers Virginia and Jed were so inviting and friendly. You could tell they loved their work! And breakfast from Chef Virginia was to die for! I hope my recommendation won't mean that I will have a hard time booking a return visit when the news gets out -- this is the best B&B I've ever stayed at at the beach!

I'm looking at some of the other reviews and it seems I can't really add much. Yes, Virginia and Jed are lovely people who can tell you whatever you need to know, feed you an incredibly delicious breakfast, let you use whatever beach gear you want from the garage, and will make you feel very much at home (only more fun!). There's usually also yummy iced tea and some kind of baked treat in the common room during the day. They also are doing their best to be a green hotel. Thanks so much for a lovely time. Hope to be back!

This is the second time that my husband and I have stayed at the Cape Hatteras B&B with Jed and Virginia, and honestly, there is not enough room here for me to write about all of the wonderful experiences you will have staying here. As with the first time, our experience was exceptional. The B&B is a clean and lovely place to spend your vacation. The rooms are beautiful (we have stayed both upstairs and downstairs), and the location is divine (a quick walk to the beach, and the area of Buxton is quiet and relaxing). Jed and Virginia are incredible and wonderful! They go above and beyond to accomodate everyone staying at the B&B. They are the most kind, caring, and considerate people, and truly make you feel completely at home and part of the B&B family. If you are looking for an phenomenal breakfast experience every morning, this is the place to be. Delicious food in the morning, fresh fruit available everyday, and a fresh batch of yummy pastries every afternoon. Last year was the first time we had stayed at a B&B, and honestly, I would never want to stay anywhere else. If you have never been here before, please go...you will not be disappointed! My husband and I plan on staying here again next summer. The first time we came last year, we stayed for 3 days. This year, we stayed for a week. Next summer, we may stay for a little longer than that!

Room Tip: All the rooms are wonderful...there are rooms upstairs and downstairs if you have a preference. Eac...

My fiancé and I can't say enough about how much we love this bed and breakfast! Virginia and Jed are so friendly and go out of their way to surpass their guest's expectations. I am vegan and Virginia made me delicious vegan breakfasts every morning. They have everything you could possibly want to take to the beach, (ice, coolers, towels, umbrellas, etc.) and they are very knowledgable about the outer banks. We were also really happy with our room. It was quite large and perfectly clean! We also appreciated the adorable beach decor. Definitely stay here if you are going to be in the area!

You can't go wrong with this B&B! The have great rooms, a great location (2 minute walk to the beach), beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards to borrow, and two of the nicest, most accommodating inn keepers you'll ever meet. Breakfast was great every morning and they offer plenty of choices as well. After the first night we felt like this was our home away from home, and we were very sad to have leave when our vacation was over. I'll be staying here next time I got back to OBX for sure!
