“Dinner and Breakfast”

We ate both dinner and breakfast here and enjoyed both meals. Good portions, fair price, good service. Hub had a variety platter and liked all of the seafood except the crab cake.

I thoroughly enjoy Diamond shoals, its the one stop shop! I definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a great place to eat. It has a wonderful breakfast, salad bar, sushi bar and fresh seafood market. Their seafood market can also cook all your seafood to go. They even have a little herb garden, where you can pick your own herbs to prepare your seafood. Its great place to bring your family too and nice staff, its my little gem :)

“Great breakfast”

Food was great. Only place on the island that can cook an egg over light without brown edges. Great service, good food and at a reasonable price.

“Average”

Went here on last day of vacation. Food was ok but nothing to make me want to return. I had the Captains Platter which came with a big piece of fried grouper, a few medium sized scallops, shrimp, and oysters, some real small clams that mostly seemed like crumbs and one small crabcake that was about half the size of the two my wife got on the crabcake platter. The oysters were good and the fish was excellent. The first few shrimp were ok but the last couple were beside the scallops, which were sitting in a puddle of grease, and were soggy as were the scallops. The clams may have well been left off as they didn't add anything to the plate. The crabcakes were ok but we made some in our rental house earlier in the week that we bought from Risky Business seafood in Hatteras and they were far superior to what we were served in the restaurant. I had sweet potato fries and cole slaw for a side both were ok but had a few undercooked fries. Service was good and our waitress stayed on top of things but felt the need to write on our bill that tip wasn't included? May be common but I don't know. It probably would've bothered me if she had been bad but shrugged it off. Anyway, you'll probably be able to find a better meal on the island but the place was busy so some people must like it. Pretty much everything we made at house seafood wise was better though and there are lots of markets on island.

“great breakfast”

On the day we were leaving town, we had planned to eat breakfast at the Orange Blossom but the lines were out the door. So, went to Diamond Shoals. We each had omelettes - my husband had the Western and I had the spinach and mushroom. Both were delicious. Fresh veggies and mine was loaded with fresh spinach. Good, quick service, too! Will have to come back here for dinner. We haven't had dinner there for a while but their board of fresh fish specials had the biggest selection of locally caught fish that we encountered on this trip.
