Description: Cafe Pamlico provides a world class casual fine dining experience through exceptional food, outstanding detail oriented service, an inspired wine and cocktail program, and gracious attentive Southern hospitality. Our contemporary coastal cuisine is driven by locally sourced seafood, meats, and produce. Our menu changes frequently in accordance with the fresh ingredients our chefs discover on the island, most notably the fresh local seafood we feature. We are committed to supporting local farmers and artisan food producers first, sustainable resources second, and organic third. Reservations are highly recommended.

Good fresh seafood and other options. We ate inside and had a view of the sound. Also has outdoor seating. Upscale, cloth tablecloths etc. Good service. Thought the prices were high.

We appreciate this guest's feedback that food was fresh and good, the service excellent, and the view of the sound lovely from our waterfront dining rooms and decks, in keeping with our status as the top ranked restaurant in the area based on consumer and professional reviews. We question, however, their observation that they thought our pricing somewhat expensive. Our menu pricing is comparable to the handful of restaurants on the Outer Banks and on Hatteras Island that are in our peer group in terms of rankings and quality.

A prime waterfront location, first class facilities, and exceptional service, come at a higher real estate and staffing cost than lesser locations, facilities, and service. Our menu pricing is a function of the costs of our prime waterfront location, first class facility, and trained, experienced, expensive staff combined with a short season.

This chef/kitchen use local seafood and veggies whenever possible and the results are stellar! I had the shrimp & grits and can honestly say one of the best meals I had throughout The Outer Banks.

During our time on Hatteras Island last week, we visited Café Pamlico twice. Both meals were excellent. The ambiance is nice, top notch for Hatteras Island, and the service was above and beyond. Our server, Mandy, was great, making meal and appetizer suggestions, and even taking the time to write down lunch restaurant suggestions for our day trip to Ocracoke. We have been coming to Hatteras Island for years, and wish we had discovered the Café at the Inn before! After dinner we walked down the dock, and were impressed by the grounds. We hope to make a solo trip in the spring, and stay at the Inn. Keep up the good work! We'll see you soon!
